DC  says Massey was outstanding today. Really!!

Man of the match. Certainly didn’t stand out as a bad performance. Nothing like Harrison, he has the touch of a plumber.

Just prior to his goal I turned round and said, within earshot of a few folks, Massey is one of the worst players I've ever seen at Vale, and I've seen some...

I had a few pats on the back minutes later.

Apart from his goal,Massey is one of the worst players I've ever seen at Vale...

Ha! I called him a poor man’s David Amoo about a second before he hit that! Had to laugh!

Very scrappy game, hopefully Wilson and Butterworth have been rested for the sheffield game. Just did enough, 3 points the important thing. On a side note, if you were one of the Vale choir in the railway, singing the song about Harrison, give your heads a serious wobble, embarrassing, there were kids joining in aswell. Fortunately only half a dozen fans joined in.

Morecambe are a limited side but very well organised and a 1-0 win is the result we needed to get. I was impressed with their guy Weir in the first half, a very good player. Scrappy yes, but we didn’t look like losing as we looked like the team with the better quality and ability to stretch Morecambe, where I felt it was Morecambe who were doing the scrapping, not us.

Some over the top comments about today's performance, the game was always going to be scrappy we were playing a Derek Adams side what do you expect ?

Illness hit our selection and I'm pleased we found a way to win, something that DC has developed in the club, 3 points 9th in the league...We move on.

If someone had offered us 3 points off the playoffs on Boxing Day we would have snapped their hand off in May.
