Hi all, Can I please make a couple of comments: 1. Please KEEP ON TOPIC. This is about a football match. I am now going to plough through and remove all posts not to do with the game (happy

Missing today, Gibbons, Worrall, Oyeleke, Amoo, Joyce and Pope. All of this would be in most fans first 11 when fit. None played today. We didn’t deserve to lose that and probably wouldn’t have done w

Nice to see you are starting early Should we play poorly or lose then no doubt we will hear a lot from you today again..... play well or win we will see you Tuesday. For goodness sake Askey

If Clarke keeps moaning about how unfit the players are and how bad the squad is it ain’t going to motivate anyone. Askey managed to get a tune out of a worse squad and Clarke needs to put his money where his mouth is.

If three of those played we win that, Cambridge were average at best today but that’s how it drops for you when top. Shows how poor this league is and sadly how poor we’ve been that they are top.

Kick in the teeth, they didn't deserve a win, Burgesses howitzer on Tuesday goes the wrong side of the post theirs today flies in the top corner, it's what happens when you're at the wrong end of the table.

Whatever combination is tried up top doesn't work. When two strikers are played up top they're usually too far apart to play of/with each other. Vale miss Tom Pope.

I think we lack that spark that players like Amoo, Worrall, Gibbons and Manny can bring to the team. People can say what they want about Pope, but I would fancy him to get on the end of some of our crosses in the box and we still haven’t found a replacement for him yet.

2 pts from 9.

And as i said here we go

When having all these digs at DC etc and we all know now you want him to fail can you please get it into your head that these are Askey's players,Askeys job was to keep us up when he came with Aspins squad,DC's job is to keep us up with Askeys squad,so surely being Vale fans we all want that dont we?

You are so correct Jacko but two of those almost never appear.

We can't use this on game 45 at Grimsby saying ' what if ' .

The others have to step up . No question all season our first and strongest X1 is decent.

Take more than 2 out and we are poor

People keep saying we have these players and it will be OK - but these guys are never available on a regular basis

It was a knee jerk reaction but since studying everything, a little doubt has crept in about definitely losing to Salford. As it's such a good cause I'll take you up on it. We Are Going To Lose The Next 3!!!

Want to take a bet that we don’t lose all 3? £10 HUBB foundation?

3 wins in the last 21 league games. They need their confidence boosting somehow. Over to you Mr Clarke

Decent post-match interview from Clarke. Staying positive but realistic and not delusional.

I'm sure we'll be alright in the end

What is wrong with you?  I simply pointed out a fact...  strange.

I'm just offering a comparison with other facts.

Its the same squad that nearly got us promoted.  Clarke is doing what he knows, he is setting up not to lose, but we will lose by the odd goal.  Today wasn't that bad but at the business end we need to score some goals.  Had Guthrie scored early doors it may have been different.  We won't go down, Clarke will keep us up.  I just hope he can move us on as time goes by.

Credit there  for a decent post

We all know there will be a massive overhaul of the squad this summer and i for one am looking forward to that, then as you say lets see what he can do next season

Priority this season is to stay up no matter how messy or ugly or boring we have to be to do it

You didn't just stick to facst though did you.  You concluded with a false assumption and statement designed to make out I am unstable.

That was not the intentiin at all. Just showed you how we fared under Askey in the same games earlier in season but you are doing a good job of that yourself
