I actually do live overseas, so no problem for me but it works against me in in other ways when wanting to access UK content on other services and I can tell you the VPN solution isn't always successful, as the more sophisticated operators are wise to that. There are always ways of course but you quickly get into challenging IT work arounds that most people wouldn't be comfortable with, or even capable of doing.

Alternatively, I might just come over more often and put in a personal appearence. I miss the Bull's Head pre-game session in particular...

So with Sky showing around 50% of matches there's no way that Vale fans in the UK, who can't go, will use a VPN and log on for the International iFollow coverage of every game, especially the ones not on Sky.

Yep, that definitely won't happen.

No chance.

:whistling:

Unfortunately, I will need some technical instructions on how to set up a VPN. Still don't really understand such things as blue tooth 🤣 Still needs must so I suppose I will learn. This is really a crap decision though. Do the EFL really think everyone is going to go out and get Sky because of this.

Problem for me is I have to rely on iFollow audio for away games as, living in South Staffs, I can't get RS at home. Although, bizarrely, I can get it loud and clear in the car - I just don't want to be freezing my conkers off sat in the car in midwinter.

You can listen to Radio Stoke on the Internet or on your phone via the BBC app. That definitely works well overseas also for most programming.

There's a blackout during games on the internet stream. It won't work.

From what Bowers has said on his twitter ages ago, the BBC don't hold the right to broadcast and EFL commentary online. Talksport have it, yet rarely do they actually do it. They have it just for the play offs so they can do full commentary on them.

PV, I'd really welcome and support a situation where fans who are genuinely disabled or are over a certain age and/or have restricted mobility have access to iFollow if they want to, no matter where they live and what time the game is played.

Surely in this day and age a system/process can be developed which makes it possible for such people but impossible for "the dodgy firestick/VPN brigade".

It would keep the interest level of people and provide income for the club, a win win all round. There's probably many OAP's who'd jump at the chance.

So Talksport pay a few nobodies at the FL72 clubs to do a pod for each club but won't put on commentary for the matches?

That is piss poor.
