Wilson is a conundrum.  Cold hard facts, 4 goals and one assist from, probably,  our highest paid player. Equally he's capable of the sublime. Big, big call someone will have to make.

He definitely played a massive part in getting us into L1, so money well spent. He’ll probably be out of our price range next season returning to L2. If that is the case, I’d like to thank him for everything that he’s done for us.

Great performance. Bristol absolutely atrocious especially at the back. Should have had 5 first half but understandably managed the game 2nd half. Ellis was unplayable and had them all at sea, hopefully not injured. Ojo showed he’s L1 class and ran the show. Forrester and Smith back to their imperious best. Wilson again takes a battering and unfortunately he’s singled out to take it every game because teams know he’ll break down, such a shame as he has that extra quality. Massey was a threat. That incident with Proctor looked like a massive over-reaction to me but maybe there was more in it. Cruised throughout.

Good solid performance today following on from Tuesdays.
Exactly what we needed and ensures league 1 football next year.

I was pretty disappointed that Clarke was sacked at the start of the week but the last two performances have started to show a change was needed.

Can’t disagree with you on this one, Wilson is a conundrum for the word slowin.

If I was a professional disciplined footballer  none of that would have  altered a jot. I'd ha e had the self respect to get stuck in, against any adversity and .lead by example, rather than be a sulking  git, as we have witnessed from most of that lot, since the turn of the year.

Self determination theory says this isn’t true.

First point that baring a miracle Vale are safe from the dreaded drop back to League Two which would have been extremely difficult to have come to terms with. 49 points WILL keep VALE UP.

Lovely to see so many VALE fans praising the referee today. That is why is why I attend so matches during the season. I have had two today. But should be there for PLYMOUTH another team who I respect and hope that they achieve promotion to " THE CHAMPIONSHIP".

Delighted for Andy Crosby and stepping when the pressure is ON and hopefully guiding VALE to safety.

Totally RESPECT for DC remember he took Vale to League One and unfortunately DC has had so much to deal with outside of football, I feel so much for him.

It almost certainly was the right time to change to stand a chance of dropping back down which would have had many negative ramifications for PORT VALE.

In the close season it is time to get rid of the dead wood and move on for a positive season in 2023/24. Whoever takes over needs to builds to builds old foundations and stop the traumatic second half to the season we have witnessed since  the start of 2023.

I am always mystified when in over thirty years of following Vale's fortunes when Vale's home form is so poor. This season only 8 wins in 22 matches. I believe as "THE WEMBLEY OF THE NORTH", although DC narrowed the  pitch away teams love playing on the wide open spaces of VALE PARK. A new manager needs to make VALE PARK a fortress. When are bitter rivals were a Premier League club away teams hated playing there due to an intimidating atmosphere. Vale need a similar environment.

Well I hope they kept the receipt. It’s absolutely shocking. Not helped by having one of the ball boys as the announcer.

It was the junior Valiants having a day out at vp. Having a go at things such as pa announcer.

A great move by the club and a wonderful experience for the Junior Valiants chosen for each role.
As for the game, that first half In particular was the Vale we all want to see, second half we pressed their defence well and defended stoutly.
All in all a good performance backed by a vociferous home crowd.
Don't really want to pick anyone out as everyone played their part but a particular word for Gavin Massey who ran his socks off.
