January window

Our managers have to do there January shopping in the B&M and Heron foods and though you get the odd bargain if your lucky there's a lot of rubbish in there,so maybe we can be a bit harsh on our managers when things don't turn out too good.

Can't see Ricky Miller still being at Vale Park beyond this month if Aspin does end up fighting on. He was spotted in the Vine Inn in Burslem on Boxing Day as his teammates were being beaten by Grimsby Town. And with regular appearances in the Chatterley Whitfield pub in Tunstall' date=' it's not rocket science to see why Barry Fry was eager to do his pal Norman a big favour last summer![/quote']

I’ve seen him a few times in the chat and every time he was not drinking alcohol

Interesting, as we saw Miller sitting behind us in Lorne St Stand!

I don’t get why Millar has ended up a controversial figure. He is a good family man and has always been decent to fans, coming over to chat after away games.

He also has been far from awful. He tries to put in high energy performances and tries to do something with the ball.

He isn’t a star player but he has done enough to show he should not be cast away.

I believe there is a very good reason why Miller currently isn't playing and why it is not being discussed by the club. Hopefully he will have a much improved 2019.

Yes he was. Apparently he went down to the Vine after the team was announced and was back before the game kicked off.

Whilst hes not scored many goals I think hes one of those horrible players who will rat around centre halves and make their afternoon difficult, as hes shown by winning penos and free kicks. Hes also not afraid to shoot, something we've been sorely lacking recently. Hes been hung out to dry a few times by being put on the right of a forward 3, but I don't believe the reasons hes not been included are anything to do with his ability on the pitch.

Typical poor posts on Vale players attempting to slur the names of a few. Great that others can correct the misapprehension that some squad members are not behaving like they ought. I personally feel Miller has been hard done to. He, if played regularly, in a sensible system could be a thorn in any opponents side. He's one of those players that can magic something out of nothing and is an irritant to defenders. Whether he can form a parternship with Pope is yet to be seen. We don't know why Aspin can't play the 2 together for a good run of games. Must be some reason we are not party to.

Angus has been scoring a fair few goals for Nuneaton. Turner has done literally nothing at Falkirk. He may have more experience but I’d 100% give Angus a go before turner.

Turner hardly played for Falkirk because he was injured and then ostracised by the new manager so hardly a fair comparison. There again I was never really impressed by any of his performances in the 1st team. Still a very young player though so could still be developing.
