A Bradford forum seems to think hes been training and is close to match fitness.
Considering their league position don't think they would let him go, has only played 3 games this season, 11 last with 5 goals. Not as prolific as at the Vale though, and unlikely to be match fit.

Interestingly someone made a point on radio Stoke and not first time I've heard it. But suggested Aspin spoke to Smurf and Smurf said no money left for the players he wants, so that's why he's said he might resign. Think about Aspin, he's always come across as a fighter so that interview was strange yesterday. Wouldn't be first-time Smurf has done it as did it with Page.

Can’t see Aspin blaming the fans abuse if he is going to resign. Blame Smurf, get sacked and take the compo.

Shopping list:

I'd see if we can get Howkins back... think we lack a bit of pace at the back... Smith, Legge and Rawlinson also seem uncomfortable on the ball...

Would go for a winger

A leftback needed if Clark goes

A striker if Miller goes

(I'd imagine at least one loan player will sign)

One of the things we commented on at Lincoln was how comfortable their centre halves were on the ball. It can make a massive difference to a side if they can join in with the play.

I think we need a striker anyway. We only have Pope who’s recognised in this league. Turner, Angus and Miller are all unproven.

Priority must be at least one striker. Pope gets injured and we're in deep trouble.

I think that’s absolutely it and I think the loss of the Irish guy was the final straw for Aspo. and Smurf would not budge.

Hence the delays. His agent wanted more money.

Oxford gave it to him.

They also gave Oxford a bigger transfer fee too, if I was the player I'd have waited to see who else was interested. Because they would have caught wind that other clubs could be in for him too.

Firstly we haven't got a bottomless pit to compete with clubs higher up and secondly the lure of a stable club in league one is surely better than us right now anyway isnt it?

We are talking about a part time player from Ireland here. Now it remains to be seen what sort of player he becomes. But he is not the player we needed right now anyway. We need players ready to go straight into the starting line up. The Tyler walkers, Callum guys, kyle howkins of this world.

I understand people’s disappointment at missing out but was this lad really going to turn this season on it’s head straight away? I would say not.

Also fellas we got beat by a BIGGER club in a HIGHER league, get a grip.

Our budget is competitive for the league we are in, our tactics are not!
