January window

Dan has made 7 starts and 27 sub appearances for Vale and scored 3 goals. Dior has made 2 starts and 1 sub appearance for Vale and scored 1 goal. Turner has more experience at our level.

Angus has been scoring a fair few goals for Nuneaton. Turner has done literally nothing at Falkirk. He may have more experience but I’d 100% give Angus a go before turner.

Agreed, Angus has had a better season so far than Turner, hes gone out and scored goals. Whereas Turner has arguably been unlucky to get a hamstring injury and a change of manager that meant he wasn't wanted and hes hardly played. Both need to have a good end of season either with us or on loan if they are to progress in their career.

He could easily turn out to be a breath of fresh air, but doing it in the Conf North and repeating it in this division, in this team and with chances created in skinny supply, is a tough ask for anyone

Plenty leaving the Vale.

Any players coming in, or is our wonderful owner sticking with what we have?

4 gone with Hardcastle, will we miss any of them? Angus back. Not a bad window so far but Norm has a habit of messing things up at any time, not just January.

Can't see Ricky Miller still being at Vale Park beyond this month if Aspin does end up fighting on. He was spotted in the Vine Inn in Burslem on Boxing Day as his teammates were being beaten by Grimsby Town. And with regular appearances in the Chatterley Whitfield pub in Tunstall, it's not rocket science to see why Barry Fry was eager to do his pal Norman a big favour last summer!

Vale need to start showing there intent, this uncertainty hanging around the club is a massive negative for any transfer targets!!!

Clubs are well under way with signings now and if they are to come in and make a difference the manager/chairman needs to get cracking, there is little point hanging on to late Jan... it’ll take players a couple of weeks to settle in! We need good solid pro’s with a track record... we are in free fall as it stands.

Miller is going nowhere btw, didn’t he sign a 2 year contract.... I read some interesting comments from the Telford manager on Daniels in his 1st 2 weeks.... sounds and certainly feels like Aspin is not a good man manager in certain situations, just seeks to alienate players... which could be an undoing for him!

You have to wonder about our scouting system. Do we actually have one or do we rely on Rudge to do the miles and come back with reports.

We are linked with, or sign, players from all over the country...not from just one agent's "stable"...some don't work out - boohoo - that has always been the case - Bob Delgado being the very first name I could think of! And yet we still get this criticism on Vale's scouting system? Give it a rest!
