Some of our fans are genuinely a disgrace. Today was atrocious and we’ve been poor for a month but we’re <ovf censored> 14th in the league. And people again complaining about us not spending money. Carol hasn’t got an endless pot of money. We need to be run sustainably. We aren’t a Wrexham being bankrolled up the leagues.

Ye I agree, quite a few walked out at 3.0, that must be an awful sight for the players & staff

Not sure if this is sarcastic or just misinformed?

We had 13 shots today, 0 on target.

Wycombe had 13, 4 on target, 3 goals.

We are creating chances as we've done all season. We aren't converting them, as we've done all season.

You need 1 or 2 forwards on the pitch to convert chances though.

Said previous our ' two strikers ' need 30 goals a season between them.

This is because our midfield / wide players cannot score enough goals between them.

Should they ?  Yes. Today Benning, again and Politic should score. They didnt.

Do i expect any of them to get a decent return ? No. They are not good enough and that is why we struggle week in week out. Aswell as playing no ' proper strikers' have to add

I have no idea if the rumours are true that we have no money. What I would ask though is that if this is true how have we got to this position so quickly. We have sold more season tickets, more shirts and have more sponsorship than ever before. Yes with promotion the outgoings inevitably go up. But the club have known this since we won promotion so there is definitely something wrong currently. There will always be people coming and going in any work environment but it’s more than that. Somehow we have to arrest the slide on the pitch but feels like this is coupled to potential issues off the pitch and the two are usually linked. Worrying times and Accrington at home now takes on even more importance.

We are a decent league1 side as proven numerous times this season.

However we are currently having to try and compete without strikers.

Strikers recover from injury and soon we have Matty Taylor to add to the squad.

However, the usual culprits are out of their box coming up with scaremongering stories when they have no facts whatsoever to back up their <ovf censored> stirring.

Well here's a couple of actual facts .... we are 2 points off 10th place and 9 points above 4th bottom and a strike force to come back that is arguably amongst the best in the division.

But let's not be positive there's so much more pleasure to be had in negativity and scurrilous lies.

It's a fairly logical solution to what seems to be a recurring problem.

The club wouldn’t make money off it though. Surely the solution is to buy more food in that can at least last until half time? Might be a decent solution to the punter but I don’t think for the club

Cost cutting in every business happens. If cutting costs now puts us in a better position for summer transfers and in a better position next season and the season after, then so be it.

However, there’s always some sort of drama at this football club, isn’t there?

Micky said that in his book - Port Vale is the kind of club where there always has to be a crisis.

Thought those days were long gone.

I feel like Peterborough wasn’t complained about too much, Derby we were pipped but today just completely fell apart. Sometimes it’s better to have a snap back to harsh reality than a slow palatable decline, and today it’s clear that fans are not going to tolerate another full season of strikers being unavailable. DC has used up all the patience on that front, but hopefully they all come back soon. Steady the ship on Tuesday and go from there.
