  1. I think we had some more committed players such as Dave Worrall and James Gibbons but we let them go.

  2. Woz was quality. Whoever only offered him one year was an absolute numpty!

  3. Agreed, the only problem I have is that I don't trust the current "recruitment team" to find the replacements.

  4. I think he will stay. I have seen an improvement in performances, just about, but it is now heading (slowly) in the right direction. Goals conceded in recent games have been from diabolical individual errors. Initially, well after a few games I wanted him gone. Carol said it would take him three games to discover what he has, well maybe with the dross he has at his disposal it has taken longer. As I believe we are down and gave up a looong time ago, there is absolutely no point in sacking (apologies for a somewhat knee jerk reaction recently). Let's see what happens, we need to keep backing the players and manager. Stupidly, I am feeling confident of a win this weekend just to give me more hope before they get crushed again. If Moore can keep us fighting, then that is all I ask. Odds on Loft to score the winner v Cambridge to keep us on the last day to go day as a Vale hero forever. Maybe I need some meds.

  5. I really don’t rate Jones at al, and that was a clear penalty at Leyton orient and he has been poor all season and regularly gets completely out of position and personally I wouldn’t have him at tge club and how he has got a contract until the end of 2025 I just can’t comprehend and he will sit it out and get paid and get bayed and for me he wouldn’t get in the Leek town side and I completely blame for all these contract negotiations and he will ruin this(my) club if he stays and I doubt we will stay up and I worry about his appointments if he stays; Carol please get rid of him for the new manager’s sake I know you don’t control foootballing matters and this complete idiot will ruin the club you saved

  6. And wozza would put more effort into 90 minutes football than Massey puts in all season 😬

  7. Depends on who we recruit and who's doing the recruitment hopefully it's not Fraudcroft otherwise we're up shyte creek without a paddle, Up the Vale &. KTF

  8. We need some character and steel in the team. A lot of relegated teams struggle! We need to get rid of the loosing mentality and quick. I do think we will struggle to get back up.

  9. Let's hope you are right, I keep thinking that we are due a win, slightly overdue if anything. 😨

  10. Bids for our best players? Most of the players except Garrity and possibly Chislett would be lucky to stay at Vale. If released most would never see league football again.

  11. I’ll be sticking to my new pre-match routine for this one. Bacon and tomato oatcakes and a large whisky chaser for breakfast, light lunch followed by 3 or 4 pints, then whatever beer I can fit in up at the fanzone before kick off and at half time. It’s really made a big difference, and whilst I’m not seeing much of the games I’m enjoying them much more.

  14. He can’t run and he can’t pass (smith) definitely not a right back.

  15. Sang is not a defender should never be playing right back. Have a look at Shrewsbury's first goal last week and see who was ball-watching, lost his man, and cost us a sloppy goal yet again. If we play a back 4 Smith should play there. Whoever told him he was a centre-back did his career a huge disservice, he would make a decent right back in a back 4.

  17. Yeah gotta get rid of the dead wood It's a no brainer , even if they have to pay up contracts ,we can rebuild with more commited players for the long term

  18. I do think a fair few will go even if in contract tbh

  19. We will sell anyone going when money comes calling. We needed Harrison this season, but the MK Dons offer a few quid and out the door he goes!

  20. Oh god no if I was Ben ide definitely want to play at an higher level than league two,but he'll be hard to replace, and finding another gem the likes of Ben will be difficult
    2 points
  21. Splodger, I think we’ll have to sell Ben, in the summer. If he stays and we’re not pushing for promotion, which unless we buy some players, we won’t be, he can leave for nothing. He’s proven in L1 and not going to sign a new contract. If you were him, would you.?

  22. I'm not sure why miseryguts would want to come on here, and try to drag us down to their level? Can't they just accept that people have different opinions and live their lives with them? And to apportion any amount of blame to Happy Clappers doesn't take into account the bitchiness and division caused by "The Negs" So - just leave us alone...you won't change our minds regardless what happens! We are Vale, too! VTID KTF TTP

  23. Neither can Sang...and he certainly can't tackle. His 2 corners last week versus Shrewsbury were awful

  25. Wer, TBH, I wish that we’d move away from the loan business model. Apart from Alfie&Ollie has it benefited us.?

  26. If Moore did go we could probably get Boris Johnson in. Bojo would put flitcroft to shame with his smarming up to Carol. We would be promised promotion back to L1 next season, the Championship the season after, then the Premier league the season after that. Boris would sorrowfully admit that it would probably take another couple of seasons before we won the league, FA Cup and Champions League, but hey we have to be realistic. In reality by then Bojo would have us in the Potteries and District Lads & Dad's. Or even more likely, bankrupt.

  27. Not sure none of it was his fault but hear what you are saying. Moore has not been any better so the problem likely lies elsewhere. But I don’t think it’s one person. It’s bigger than that. I fear we might end up where Forest Green are now if we aren’t careful.

  28. Sleepy John. Not great but better than Moore. Crosby better than both of them. Clarke better than the lot.

  29. “ what the hell ranting on a forum has to do with what goes on in a football stadium “ Well I I truly cannot believe that you have made that statement. “You are the first to give praise when it’s due ,and nobody ever has an issue with that” . Are you serious ? “ what praise have the staff and players collectively deserved over the last few months” .They deserve no praise and I don’t know anyone whohas given them any .

  30. He's not exactly ripping it up in league one,he'll probably need to make a name for himself in league 2 at this rate ,dont forget he will have a phenomenal squad to chose from in league 2 🤔 👌🤣

  31. If he doesn't stick with us then he's a coward, plain and simple.

  32. The person to go should be Fraudcroft and his so called recruitment team. They have made the squad worse.

  33. I didn’t like what’s gone on many times before ,Ive marched with the black and gold and protested , and I don’t like what is going on now . BUT PLEASE tell me what are YOU PERSONALLY ,going to do about this predicament i look forward to hearing your ideas , probably make things better by shouting abuse from the the terrace , then turn up hypocritically for the next game ,or are you not going to be a Vale fan because we got relegated ? I’ve seen this many times before, I think 7 promotions and this could be my 8th relegation since I’ve been going to watch my team , I’ve seen some shyte down the vale some real shyte , you choose to slag off all and sundry here on a forum , I may think the same as you but I don’t do this , it achieves ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ,so does that make me a “happy clapper “ or a just a Vale fan …….till I die.

  36. Cannot believe you still think we have a chance to stay up. We were down weeks ago, and I have seen nothing lately to change that opinion.

  37. I doubt it. The players are phenomenal remember.

  38. How the hell have they managed to funk up all the goodwill and forward momentum we gained during the promotion year - its just beyond belief the error after error after error - like most, iv worked in organisations where the top level "management" takes some believing, but this brings a whole new level of b@lls up to the table - shocking, really shocking - and im a happy clapper FFS🤣🤣🤣

  41. This lot are the most mentally feeble. Weak. Fragile. Not an ounce of resilience in the majority. Most fans could accept us falling short if we went down fighting. "Rolling over and having our bellies tickled" springs to mind.

  42. You’d imagine ojo would be the first knocking on the gaffers door trying to find an exit away from the club. Chislett, and Ripley you’d think only left their league 2 clubs to chance their arm in the league above so I’m not sure they’ll want to stay here for another few seasons. We will end up with the core of <ovf censored> that is currently getting us relegated with the addition of 3/4 new faces. It’ll be another long hard slog in league two.

  43. I have no inside knowledge but i will be majorly surprised if DF is anywhere near bringing in a new squad in the summer

  44. I think we desperately need some action, incentive or whatever to re-connect the club & fans, like the Target 5,000 or Bradford’s £100 season tickets, just something to get the crowds in and engaged. As I said in an earlier post, I’m sceptical that we’ll do anything next year. I think our form has been so bad since promotion that the losing mentality & generally fragility will take some changing. As I sit here, why should I buy a season ticket next year??

  45. We need a properly organised protest against Flitcroft. I hate to single out one person but he’s made his own rope by stating plainly he is responsible for “all things football”. Well the football is dire, we’ve hired mentally weak, uninterested and untalented players with an total imbalance positionally, and I am confident the squad is quite expensive ironically.

  46. Danny Sonner mentioned wages at Vale about 20 years ago.....so what do we do pre-season, bugger off to Spain and have zero match condition pre season friendlies. Point being, Vale will always be Vale, and for the second season running the prep for the new season has been an absolute shambles.

  47. The vast majority will turn up, that’s not guesswork it’s based on recent history at that level where the home average floated around 4500 with the biggest part of this being made up of home fans as the away followings are generally dire. I asked where you got 3000 from? I’m still waiting on the answer to that one, but you’ve now changed tack and it’s become 3-4K so I guess that says you were wrong first time. You’re also guessing we’ll be in the lower half of the table before a ball has been kicked.
