Match Thread: EFLC1 Port Vale v Rotherham United

We might have won this with a strike force on from the start. The idea is to go 1-0 up and hang on. Not give them a 2 goal start and try to come back with 20 to go. 

But to be fair individually most of the players showed promise and I think we can beat many lesser teams than Rotherham.

Good workout for the players returning from injury

Sensible to rest the likes of proctor / hall / Benning

Massey showed some quality and what the right signing can do

Maybe him and proctor up top Saturday .

Having sadly watched them both I’d have to disagree. Besides, if we signed someone we’d likely be stuck with them for the season. So you want to sign a <ovf censored> striker for a handful of games and then be stuck with them for a year?

Well the last 15 mins were decent and showed we have a good starting 11 somewhere in this squad. Massey looks decent.

Should just clarify, I wasn't saying the players were pathetic, more the fact that we had to put those players and that formation out. Appreciate it may not have come across like that though.

I’d hope so yes, and if not we deserve to go down. Not like we’re just defaulting every game, we’ve picked up 3 points from 6 so far.

Well positives tonight is that Massey, Pett, Conlon, Walker and some of the others got minutes under their belts. Also good that Sammy looked decent again as think Worrall might be out for some time.

Also positive that McDermott played well when he got on. Some concerns overall but hopefully with some new editions and and players coming back from fitness the signs are reasonable?

im hoping signing won’t youth lads but have a sinking feeling they will be chancers.
