If any players can complete games in short space of time its a pair of young lads

I don’t disagree but it’s an intense period of games and that’s what the squad is for. Tomorrow will also be a totally different kettle of fish for them but it will be interesting to see how they go now the euphoria of making their full debuts has gone.

The back office fitness management team need to assess and call it correctly. The science leads etc. Another factor to consider is that young players given their chance in the team may likely have played their heart and soul out. The older professionals will have managed themselves through the game using their experience. Objectivity should prevail in decision making.

Stamina comes with age which is why you’ll never see an 18 year old winning the London marathon, or any other top marathon for that matter.

So basically most can’t make their minds up on team selection for tomorrow, play the young lads , don’t play the young lads ?
One man will decide and no doubt if it doesn’t work out he’ll get absolutely slaughtered .
Easy isn’t it when it’s not your job on the line , you can just get on your keyboard , wind yourself up into a frenzy and point out how right you were in the first place ! Some need to find perspective, we’re doing alright, it could be a lot worse,  just remind yourselves of that next time we lose a game and we haven’t played the perfect way some expect .
We’re Port Vale and we’re in League One ……thankfully 👍

So Jean does that mean I can pay on the day? It's a flipping long way to go to be told at the ground I can't get in!!!

Below taken from fan guide on CUFC website:

’Tickets: Tickets for away supporters should be purchased through their own club. The away club will receive an allocation of tickets to sell, and the seating details will be shown on the ticket. If the away supporters ticket allocation has not been sold out before the day of the game, tickets will be on sale for visiting supporters on match day (unless stated otherwise) at the Away Ticket Office located at the back of the Pioneer Stand, which is next to the visitor turnstiles. There will be a £3 increase in price on match day (excluding juniors, U11s and U7s).
Supporters under the age of 14 MUST be accompanied by an adult, senior, or U18.’

We hardly steam-rollered them in the home fixture, they defended well and only a dodgy throw leading to a penalty was really the difference between the two sides.  Quite a bit of water under the bridge for both teams since then but still a difficult one to call, but it must be the best time to play them, now, before they start spending those Yankee dollars to strengthen their squad during the window. With us not knowing who will play and how we’ll play (formation/style etc) with the recent changes we’ve seen, I guess Simpson won’t know either which might give us an advantage too.

Will be watching on iFollow (don’t fancy the 9h round trip).   UTV!

I really do think we need to protect Wilson so I wouldn't be surprised if he was on the bench, I also think its a lot to ask of Shorrock.

That said its not unheard of for managers to stick younger players in sometimes to highlight the need for reinforcements. Crosby may be saying to Flitcroft "my new first choice left wing back is 16. I need another one".

I would guess at:

Ripley

Smith, Lowe, Debrah

Lomax, Garrity, Devine, Grant/Shorrock

Chislett

Ikpeazu, Loft
