Mental to play young lads in an away game against a side battling for their lives, no matter how well they played in the previous game at Vale Park.

if he doesn't play them you just moan about how poor massey & grant have been. So he can't win can he really, it was the right decision for me to name an unchanged side regardless of the personal after the last game & win. Yes they've struggled but no more than the seasoned pros of massey etc would have. Only Garrity turned up today

To go in level after a poor half is a positive. Let's turn up this second phase hey Vale! 💪🏻

Devine fine on the ball and going forward, but needs to wake up without the ball. Can't stand watching players go past him or always expect others to pick up the runner.

Struggle for Vale but at 0-0 still very much in the game.  Good saves from Ripley.

In Gibson, Garner and Maguire they have a few tricky forwards.

Their free kicks are dangerous.

Bit of a homer ref.

Grant on for Shorrock for me.

Our inconsistency really annoys me.

One stat sticks out to me:

number of crosses - Carlisle 18, Vale 0. This needs to  change in the second half.

Looks a bit grim on the BBC stats - no shots on target, no corners.  How are we doing? Is it that bad?

Not as bad as some are making out. They pump the ball forward and it's frantic when they attack. However,  they are playing that way to compensate for a lack of quality in the final third. Ripley has made some good saves but ones you'd be disappointed if he didn’t save. Debrah going off was a big loss for us.

A decent side would be in front against us today.

Ripley, Uche, Garrity and Devine playing well mind.

Big second half, come on the Vale.

Good points mate - they are sharpish going forward 👍😍

Come in Vale let's get in this game. Carlisle dictating play right now; let's get some possession and move forward. Willow had some nice touches, need Chissie to do his thang. Uche played ok

The ref is not a homer at all. Hes doing brilliantly

In my opinion he is.

The Yak's booking for daring to win the ball says otherwise.

If we’re drawing and playing poorly that’s got to be a positive. A point wouldn’t be a bad result, but if we can sneak a winner that would be fantastic.

That was appalling from smith
