Waters scored lots of goals in non league with Cheltenham. I'm not sure he's pulled up any trees since going to Northampton so it might be a bit of a gamble but hopefully we have other irons in the fire as well.

He's young and can still improve, and went through the Crewe academy so must be a decent footballer.

Think he means 2016/17 season he scored 16 goals with Cheltenham in league two then moved to Northampton for the season just finished. Hasn't played a lot so they loaned him to Cambridge for 3 months.

He was doing OK with 10+ goals a season for two seasons but then seems to have gone off the boil, League 1 might have been too much of a step up or maybe there was some other issue. We could certainly do with a 10 goals a season midfielder.
