I think that you are probably right on all counts, and maybe I've missed some communication. Maybe I'm making more of this than is necessary.

I'm also aware of the wide range of projects underway to bring the club up to date.

Carol is an excellent communicator, but I don't recall hearing much about the areas covered on this thread.

Guide to Safety at Sports Ground, which applies >10k capacity, has resulted in capacity being less than the number of seats. Remedial action to improve the situation is in progress.  The reasons for changing the away end have been given, as have the practicalities of completing Lorne St Family area.  Safety regs are about 100 pages, there are worked examples of Plymouth and a Scottish Club on line but need a lot of time and dedication to read.

I can't help but think that if the same principles applied to VP were applied to a stadium like Goodison Park then they'd be down to about half capacity.

They should be, but maybe have an exclusion due to their new ground being built.  Everton is the worse ground I have ever stood on, Boxing Day v Burnley League Leaders 72,000 could hardly move and my feet weren`t always on the terrace.

Why hasn’t the Hamil End had to have a raised perimeter fence like the other stands?

Not an urgent job since they can use netting on the lower rows of seats to keep people off the pitch?  Whereas with the Paddock access is along the front, and the access has been widened so 2 jobs for the price of one.

I noticed in the MK Don's programme last night that it showed our capacity total as 15036.

Talking of programmes, ours has been reduced to 52 pages this season to keep the price down and there is a fair bit of reading in it.  Dons' charged the same as us for 32 pages, half of which were just adverts.  Total rip off.

If something is knocked down and rebuilt it has to comply with the new regulations which in this case the perimeter fence needs to be 1.1 meters high. It's the reason they haven't knocked down the toilet block in the paddock they would need to have 30ish new toilets to meet the new regulations just for that bottom stand

More likely they need more toilets to get the Paddock restored to its former capacity.
