I've heard on the stewards radio that some individuals in the Lorne Street and centre of the Railway Paddock have purchased £15 Junior season tickets in front of them so no one sits infront of them.

Why spend the extra money, just sit in the bycars, no one sits in front of you or a few seats either side

You can almost have an entire section to yourself some games.  Bottom corner on Family Stand side always very sparse numbers.  At the end of the day next season we swap ends and when we eventually open the other half of Lorne Street the issue will go away.

Kenilworth road looks absolutely rammed tonight. Surely the facilities there can't be much better than our stadium.
The capacity is listed as 10,073 so you would think that they would face the same regulations as us.

Could it be that they band off 74 seats so the regulations don't apply or do the different councils have different interpretations of the safety regulations?

One thing that appears overlooked regarding midweek games is the dreadful public transport after 6pm. Try getting back to  'Castle after a night game, as well as having to get to Boslem direct after 6

That’s always been a problem. Even Saturday games at 3pm can be a pain by bus. Vale have fans across the five towns and connections are poor.

They are not. They are much worse. That away end with the long climb up into the away end through the houses is an obvious safety risk and would be impossible to evacuate in an emergency.

So do we think that their council turn a blind eye to the regulations or do our council overeach?
Different situations. Vale are bringing their ground up to current standards since the capacity is adequate for our needs. Luton are planning to move to a larger ground (20k) as part of a large development, but no start date. So I expect a different view of some aspects is taken.

I understand what you are saying,  but to me it doesn't make sense. If the regulations say our ground is unsafe,  so we have to reduce capacity,  then so should Lutons. Surely you can't say, well as they're moving in 2 or 3 years, we will let it be unsafe for 2 or 3 years.  I think it's different councils attitudes.   Personally don't get the catering not adequate argument,   toilets possibly,  ease of evacuation definitely

Also don't understand why the LS is reduced,  as facilities fine

The problem is we do not know the exact restrictions, so difficult to compare. In Luton`s case exits maybe a problem that we no longer have. But their council must be aware of it and have made non standard arrangements, their problem.  In our case I don't know our restrictions apart from not having reserved seating.

But surely we do have reserved seating?  I've been  in the membership scheme this year and every time you get a reserved seat?
