But surely we do have reserved seating?  I've been  in the membership scheme this year and every time you get a reserved seat?

But do all people sit in their reserved seat, do all STs use their reserved seats, that I am told is the problem. It hasn`t mattered for 20 or more years but approaching 90% capacity it becomes a problem with all the odd seats scattered everywhere.

That does not matter, if you go and purchase a ticket the seat number tells you where to sit and if someone is in your seat they should move. If you have a capacity of say 2000 and have sold 1000 to season ticket holders, it still leaves a 1000 seats no matter where they sit.

jjvale......you are spot on......

Whoever is in charge of the stadium and/or the " safety certificate" at Vale Park should be relieved of his/her duties immediately.....

Why do we allow these petty rules to restrict our numbers?

Brunton Park has lots of standing terracing which swells capacity.

Perhaps we should rip out our seats????

Carlisle`s time in Tier 1 or 2 was before compulsory seating unlike us. Partial Conversion to safe standing is a possibility in the future.

I imagine the restricted capacity relates to getting people out, rather than cramming them in

Have you been up there? There's a narrow entrance to the whole stadium complex that every fan has to use (home and away).
