Aspin close to leaving the Vale ?? Staying

There's a difference between criticising and sacking someone. Surely you can see how crazy football has become with sacking managers every five minutes.

Of course there's a risk in sticking or twisting but I'd rather ride out this period. The draw at Lincoln might just be the catalyst for a good run of form and results.

I can see that. But you can’t seriosuly think that aspin dosent deserve this criticism? The form and football has been horrible. I 100% beleive if he wasn’t a vale legend 90%+ of fans would want him gone and he would’ve been sacked by now. I don’t like managers being sacked constantly it usually doesn’t get you anywhere but that dosent mean aspin deserves to be vale manager given what’s been on show this season.

Hope your right re Lincoln and hope we kick on. I can’t see it though next home match I’m sure we will be back to pope up front alone, 5/6 centre halves playing all of the pitch and no attacking threat. Time will tell.

Players are better. I think we’ve been worse though. This time last season I was feeling pretty positive. Completed opposite this year. The football that’s been served up has been far far worse.
I agree to a certain degree. After last Christmas and demolishing Luton, we were all talking up the prospect of the play offs, how wrong we were. It was a dismal five months after that. I honestly can't see this team repeating those 5 months. Hope I'm right

I'm well aware that we can't always sign our manager's targets but tell me this when was the last time that we got a player who any other club wanted?.......... I rest my case no we just get the scraps I'm afraid.

I have no idea as I don’t follow the transfer market, but this season in particular it seems we signed players he wanted like Brown, Legge, Manny, Vassell, Rawlinson, Whitfield, Joyce. How are they scraps when the manager identified them as targets and he went and bought them in?

Strange how fans of some clubs rally round and stick by their team through thick and thin, but ours come depending on a million other factors.

But at Vale there is no thick or thin, it’s constant frustration and embarrassment, on and off the pitch. Some fans loyalty really borders on stupidity. Certain fans acceptance of continued garbage and second-best is part of the big problem at Vale and has been for years. You’ll still be clapping like a seal in the Conference.

I want him to take us up the table.

We are under pressure, today's game is away at Newport.

No it isn't his fault other teams are winning. But 2 of the bottom 3 are doing so.

He has vowed to carry on so we had damn well better beat Colchester who are in absolute freefall

I want him sign a goal scoring midfielder....

Maybe Harness from Burton he looked a capable player last season until a certain somebody took over, scored a couple today in a higher level game.

A guy named worall also looked good last season until a certain guys impact wore him down.

Give it a rest Howjy you and your dislike of both me and Tom Pope is rather tedious.

A bit rich don’t you think Owd?Every thread contains your dislike for someone.I actually find it difficult to dislike anyone who I don’t know. Some of your statements and GUESSWORK are ,quite frankly, astounding. Now run along and get your son’s tea on.

Your right, what with bank holidays and the like it will take a few days for the 400k to clear so whats the rush ? Norman has it all in hand, the days of transfer targets slipping through our fingers are in the past.

Please view Aspo’s video re targets.

Funny how different people view things. The other day on here, it was only Vale fans in the country who constantly moan about everything. Now your view is they are a load of happy clappers.

I think we all want the best for the Vale but show our support in different ways. Some boo, some haul abuse, some clap. It always baffles me why fans boo the team off at half time and then clap them back out. But that’s just me.

Personally I think Aspin should have gone. Not a lot of improvement over the last 12 months. However, now is not really the best time to change managers especially with our record in the January window over the past few years.
