Aspin close to leaving the Vale ?? Staying

I want him sign a goal scoring midfielder....

Maybe Harness from Burton he looked a capable player last season until a certain somebody took over, scored a couple today in a higher level game.

A guy named worall also looked good last season until a certain guys impact wore him down.

Harness has just completed his hat-trick

Getting tighter at the foot of the table. Cambridge and Morecambe have picked up wins while County managed a creditable draw at Colchester. Our next opponents Crawley also picked up a win. Of the teams below us, Macc and Yeovil lost and Yeovil have a game in hand on us. We have today's game in hand on the other fellow strugglers and we will have to make it pay to draw clear of the relegation threatened pack.

The next few games - a difficult run, if you ask me - will be critical and Aspo has to produce some points. For me, he's had a deserved reprieve but it's only temporary and, if we're in the mix at the end of January, the same doubts and criticisms will come to the fore. Transfer window and style of play are now make or break. I just hope he can do it.

A bit rich don’t you think Owd?Every thread contains your dislike for someone.I actually find it difficult to dislike anyone who I don’t know. Some of your statements and GUESSWORK are ,quite frankly, astounding. Now run along and get your son’s tea on.
I only ever blame one man for Port Vale's woes.

I have no idea as I don’t follow the transfer market, but this season in particular it seems we signed players he wanted like Brown, Legge, Manny, Vassell, Rawlinson, Whitfield, Joyce. How are they scraps when the manager identified them as targets and he went and bought them in?
Yes I agree but Vassell and Rawlinson wouldn't have bust the bank. What about the number of chancers we brought in? many have now been unloaded. Who was it who brought them onboard. The fact that Aspin hasn't used them tells me that it wasn't him.

Morecambe drew, and County chucked a 3-1 lead.

Bearing in mind the rubble Aspo saw when he first came here I think he’s done a remarkable job. Compare the team before he took over to now and player for player they are infinitely better. Three years is a realistic timeframe bearing in mind the starting point. I ultimately see Aspo taking Rudgie’s role as Director of football. Continuity just like Liverpool.

Haven't you stated previously that Aspin is your absolute idol, and even that your username on here was created in honour of him as that's how you regard him?

As such, I suspect that he can do no wrong whatsoever in your eyes, no matter what occurs during his management. (....your posts/drivel on this thread certainly seem to back that up!)

I can only think of Daniels of the signings that didn’t work out. Or do you mean the loans? The loans this last couple of seasons have been very similar in that some have worked and some haven’t. I don’t know how the loan market works and who watches these players because I’d imagine there isn’t much scope to watch some of them and you end up taking a bit of a leap of faith with them.

Speaks volumes that Kanu and Quigley are now at Boreham Wood and Halifax yet we in particular with Kanu were expecting him to be selected.

Shows what we all know I guess . Hardly a clamour of clubs chasing them I bet

Well it stands to reason that young unproven players who can't get into a relegation threatened League Two team will struggle to get any interest from a League club.

They were mainly loans. It’s blatantly obvious that aspin wanted the likes of rawlinson and vassell whether they’re chancers or not
