Tom Anderson recalled by Burnley, and loaned out

We've just lost arguably our most consistent defender from an already threadbare squad, we're still hovering dangerously close to the wrong end of the table, we have an increasingly disgruntled manager who is clearly unhappy with certain situations, and there is still an enormous elephant in the room. Yes, we've lost one player today, but consider the bigger picture.

Can the enormous elephant play left back?

Very disappointing that he was the one in the back four who i felt was worth keeping .

Id rather Smith have being sold really and used the money buy Anderson and Bikey .

Lets hope hugill gets sold and the fee is big enough to help Aspo and Rudgey out .

Talk about trying to get by with your hands tied behind your back its like asking your batsman whos opening the innings go out and play without his bat .

Good Luck Tom very few poor games from you .

All the best lad .

Whatever the reason for his recall we have lost another valuable player who always played with his heart on his sleeve for port vale. I should not imagine the player himself had anything to do with it as he was enjoying his time here and carried on despite having two head injuries so his commitment was there for the club. With the January window still in force till Wednesday maybe Burnley have had an offer for him and recalled him to sell him on. I can not see them wanting him back to force our hand into buying him and there are a lot of clubs out there who may want him and would rather do it now rather to wait till he is a free agent so as to stop too many other bids coming in. If this is the case then the player also has a say in his future as well as his club and if he has a chance to be better paid in another club in L1 or L2 who could blame him. Sadly our chairman will not counter act any bid for him although I am sure we could afford to but I hope he realises that none league is looming the way we are performing and the way we are losing players we wanted to keep and it would not be a gamble to take on Anderson at this point and to cough up some money to bring him back to our club

I'm glad to see most on here appreciated Tom's efforts for us. Brings some semblance of reality to our plight now doesn't it that we can actually discuss a real loss to the squad instead of all the drivel suggested about a very, very average full back who will remain nameless. My opinion if course. Wish you all the best Tom. Many thanks for your time here.
