Bit weird that. Can’t see why. He’s not exactly going to break into their first team. Unless he’s injured or he’s had some complications with his facial injury.

 

He’s had a bit of stick from some fans but he’s decent in the air and just the sort of no nonsense Centre half you need at this level. I’d be well pissed off if they loaned him out to another side in our league.

 

We are now very short at the back.

We've lost 2 regular starters this month and replaced them with Jules, he is unfit and not ready.

 

We simply haven't seen the investment we were promised. We've got 2 days to sign a left back and a centre half, at the very minimum. I wanted a keeper and a CM too but thats probably finished now.

 

A disappointing month, on and off the pitch. If we don't sign at least 1 defender by Wednesday we're well and truly ******.

I agree, they must have someone in league one lined up because this does not make sense when he has been a regular with us?

 

I think it's a real shame, he has settled in well with Smith and is the type of defender you need in this league. It's always the issue with having loan players they could go back at any point and this has definitely weakened us and we are now very short of numbers at the back. Fingers crossed Aspo can get someone capable lined up.

The problem we have now is that come Saturday it will be another defensive unit at the back. Either we get someone in quickly or we go with Davis or Kay in the centre.

 

We could go with 3 at the back again, but it leaves the problem of who will be left wing back and equally as important can we actually get the ball down and bring the wing backs into the game. We didn't do that Saturday. Our pitch is just not condusive to getting it down and playing, hence constant hoofs up front that ended up missing the wingbacks and midfield out.

 

Losing Gunning and Anderson has weakened us this window.

This seems to be yet another transfer window where we end up weaker than before the window opened. I'm not a fan of loans for lots of reasons- this being one of them (parent club have control). We're desperate for some luck or a change of fortune soon. We just seem to get bad news after bad news as a club and have done for years. Aspo must be tearing his hair out following this news. Oh, possibly not!

We're going to end up converting big Tyrone Barnett into a centre back at this rate. He might actually score from corners.
