Blimey, a closet champagne socialist, he will fit right in with the Islington set if/when he leaves his current position.

Wonder what the reaction would have been if Corbyn was in charge and he had won the election, I wonder if he would have handled things differently, and I wonder how he would have explained his brother Piers getting arrested for a second time because he believes it's all a scam by the government to take control, He said " 5G enhances anyone who's got illness from Covid" and called the lockdown a " pack of lies to brainwash you and keep you in order" It's a funny old world, the world of politics. Quite the comedian.....
  5. Just realised that it's the 35th anniversary of the Heysel Stadium disaster,39 football fans went to a game and didn't come home, always seems to go under the radar along with the Bradford fire never gets the press coverage I think it deserves, it should never be forgotten. I often wonder if the authorities had Heysel at the back of their minds when that other awful tragedy happened at Hillsborough, football could be a risky thing to do on a Saturday afternoon thank goodness things have improved.

  8. I agree........But I don't fancy your chances trying to persuade the experts on here who say Askey only signs Macc players even though he is highly thought of.

They will think he's a lunatic and will carry on social distancing, unless they are dim or politically motivated.

If people are choosing to ignore the guidelines because of Cummings and can't see the benefits of following the advice then that proves to me just how stupid the public can be. Also the weather at the moment has a big part to play, people just can't wait to get out and about. People I have spoken to today Neighbours Postman and the bloke in the supermarket queue were all saying they are bored to death with Cummings, Johnson, Politics, the negative press and daily briefings, and they were all carrying on doing what they were advised.

If the public are prepared to risk their lives and abandon social distancing and ignore the message just because of one lunatic employee of the Government then more fool them, I suppose it just shows how selfish some can be. There have been a number of MP's, The head of the BTP Scotland and an MP attending a funeral, flouting the rules, flying in the face of advice, two of them ignoring Sturgeons instruction, are the public going to ignore the advice because of what they did ?

You have to smile at these commentators, Alistair Campbell on Sky spouting the odds, there is an irony that the Conservatives are trying emulate Labours dodgy duo of Campbell and Blair with their own of Johnson and Cummings.

Why should I do you a favour ?...... I was talking about politicians and advisors in the future not Cummings, by the way do you still think that Boris Johnson was not ill and it was made up.

This interview is certainly setting a standard, lets hope all politicians and advisors in the future are scrutinised to the same level so they can explain their decisions.

Isn't it funny, when the press attack an individual and hound them it's classed as bullying and yet when it suits a political agenda it's OK and a blind eye is turned. Boris should have sacked him last night period. There are examples of MP's breaking the lockdown, Birmingham MP Tahir Ali and Stephen Kinnock for example. Boris should have sacked him last night period. I'm also coming to the conclusion that Boris should consider his own position.

Johnson should dismiss Cummins immediately, he should show leadership and be decisive. What is it that these political characters that find the need to have a "Wing man" just think of the lives lost and damage Campbell did when he "Advised" Blair. All those seeking political advantage should remember both sides of the political divide are are as bad as each other. The Tories swept to power because the electorate feared a socialist rabble run by Corbyn Abbott and Watson they hold the baton and it seems they are now dropping it, not because of their handling of covid-19 because it's easy to criticise from the side lines but because of it's transparency and it's dismissive high handed attitude to the British public.

Who do you suppose works in the positivity department at the BBC ? I think they must have been furloughed.
  19. Not according to Carlisle supporters on twitter, classed as the best player at the club .....but unprofessional, contemptuous of the supporters. not the type of character we need, disrespectful, I could go on, that's from supporters about their leading goal scorer, after seeing his behaviour at Crewe I wouldn't want him anywhere near the Vale. Incidentally he's 23 so it's time he grew up.

As a bystander reading these posts it seems to me that some are based on political bias, ( Unhappy at the election and Brexit vote)some are based on ego's ( The usual suspects ) some are based on just being dogmatic and argumentative and all the time there are people dying as we speak in hospital of this virus.
  21. I remember it well, this disaster never gets the remembrance it deserves, wasn't the Bradford chairman culpable ? I'm sure he had a history of arson. It's almost as though it's been swept under the carpet.

Probably, although they contacted Dianne Abbott for her view and she said she couldn't answer because she was busy revising for the Corona virus test

She also said on This Morning that the timing of the pregnancy was disgraceful, when queried by Philip Schofield she said 9 months ago the country was in the grips of Brexit and he should have been more aware of his responsibilities. Obviously not taking into account that it's his partners first child, she felt that Boris should not have pursued his and his partners wish to have a family. Knowing Street Porters record and views on children she comes across as a bitter old women. Yet another "celebrity" journalist trying to make a name for herself during this terrible time.
