It's always a slow time for football. Remember the days before the internet when we had the occasional snippet on the back page of the Sentinel and we had to wait for the preview paper that they released about a week before the new season.

Now many of us trawl this site impatiently waiting for news on a daily basis. The internet has turned us even more obsessive about our football club!

Absolutely spot on, superb post.

His tactics were inept. They would have been relegated with Ronaldo in the team. All teams lose players in transfer window but get decent replacements and survive.Managers recognise their needs. Brown never addressed the need for attacking play, leading to the goals to stay up.By delaying signings now he will be desperately signing anyone who will put pen to paper again, players no one else wants

It wasn't his tactics he just didn't understand that we needed someone who could score goals and bought in a goalkeeper and midfielders.

He brought in Walker who got a bad injury, sadly. Also Eagles who got us a few goals.

I remain sure that had we kept all those players fit then we would have survived.

Knops, Shadipo, Guy, Walker, Forrester, etc. If they had all stayed fit we'd have got the extra goal/points we needed. In many ways, it was pure bad luck although you have to plan for emergencies like those now I suppose because there are no emergency loans after Jan 31st.

The most sensible and logical post I've seen. To blame Brown for last years farce is ridiculous. Blame Smurf. Blame Bruno. Blame the players (although it's not really their fault that they weren't good enough). Brown had a hard enough job already without all the bad luck.

Was it or was it poor training methods given the number of muscle injuries suffered?

Brown was consistently there throughout. He's equally as culpable.

Brown was just as much to blame, don't start this crap again. Many managers get dealt a bad hand that dosent stop them doing their own tactics and team selections, all of which brown got consistently wrong. Left with bad players? Yes. Working under a complete **** if a chairman? God yes. But a decent a manager is still able to at least organise the defence correctly and realise that players such as Taylor and hooper should've been knowehere near that starting 11. He had bad luck? THe players who got injured have picked up injuries before; Bruno had forrester injured for long periods. I certainly don't think it's unlucky in browns case that walker got inhured. The same with forrester, two players with a track record of injuries.

For you to say brown deserves no blame, that's ridiculous.

Of course, I'm sure your training methods would have been better than someone who has had a 20 odd year career in football, mostly at the top level and played over 600 games.

But of course you know better.

That gives him coaching qualifications and sports science qualifications?

So why did we receive so many then? Enlighten me?

He's just as culpable as everyone.
