Good god. Why is everyone so down? 4 clean sheets in 5. It’s not pretty but we’ve given ourselves a huge chance. 3 out of our last 4 at home. People still playing football on paper. Saying Cheltenham will get 10 points. Burton may get 5 or 6. Football isn’t played on paper. We won’t go down. Darren Moore has worked wonders these last few weeks.7 points

With a decent 12 goals a season striker we may well have won the last two games. Cheers for that DF.6 points

Wigan are the 5th best team at home in the league. Northampton 7th. To come out of those games outside the drop zone and continuing our trend of looking solid and hard-working is more than I expected. Worst case, we enter the final 4 (3 at home) no more than 1 point from safety. I didn’t expect us to have any chance at all at this point.5 points

Maybe we could borrow Paddy’s if he’s finished colouring in the templates for next seasons kit5 points

I don't think it needs a miracle, it just needs us to build on our improved form and keep picking up points. If you look at Shrewsbury's remaining four games it's hard to see where they will pick up more than a point or two, which would mean their goal difference becomes even more inferior. If you look at Cambridge's next four games (before they visit us) the only place where it seems likely they will pick up a point or three is at Bristol Rovers with that team already in their deckchairs. Our performance yesterday at Wigan should give the players a lot of heart, Wigan have a very good home record and have beaten teams like Blackpool, Orient and Bolton in recent weeks, so it is a real credit to the players, and to Darren and his coaching staff, to make us marginally the better side at Wigan.3 points

Cheltenham vs Carlisle on Tuesday. Carlisle already relegated and expect Cheltenham to win. That would take them out of the relegation zone and push us back in it. Would also expect a loss for us vs Peterborough. Then Cheltenham play Bristol Rovers on Saturday, who seem to lose to everyone at the minute. That would put them on 45 points, so we'd NEED to beat Exeter to stay in touch on 43 points. I'm fearing the worst.3 points

Which was vey bad judgment by the guy in charge of recruitment who told the fans that relegation wasn’t in his vocabulary at the end of January!3 points

How much do you think Moore and his staff are costing? Doesn’t suggest lack of funds.3 points
-
they cost money. we either a) are skint b) unwilling to spend. either normally ends up with a team in the lower reaches. i dont believe for one second " other targets" chose other clubs because of anything other than finances.3 points

I know our game midweek is big, but we need Carlisle to show up at Cheltenham on Tuesday and Bristol Rovers (in freefall presently) to show up there next weekend. They have two home games in a row. they will see as bankers This is their make or break week.3 points

Moore has recognised that he simply has to play Garrity in proper midfield and he has therefore been prepared to sacrifice him playing as an attacking forward. It's a pragmatic decision that at least gives us more resilience.3 points

I've no knowledge, but why would he have put that amount in without control of the club? Doesnt make sense. If he is after them, I agree, that would be a disaster for a decent club. Would the EFL allow him to own another club after the disgraceful way he acted with us? Who knows with that shower of <ovf censored>3 points

A point would be one of the best results this season. I just hope we don’t take a pounding and ruin the goals we have made up recently. Hopefully we can do a Carlisle on them2 points

For me just looking at the league table this Sunday is enjoyable. May be short lived but a few weeks ago I would never have even thought we could be out of relegation. Well done DM and the lads.2 points

Just hope no Injuries, particularly with Wilson out. Strength in depth certainly missing because of poor recruitment.2 points
-
im not suggesting that at all. im suggesting at the time they wanted to do it as cheaply as possible and just about stay in the division. the recruitment of moore was a massive meltdown on behalf of the club as we are in dire straits and its probably costing us more now that it wouldve just to sign a run of the mill 12 goal striker.2 points
-
The goal swing from yesterday alone is a huge bonus. 4 closer to Burton in one afternoon and now only odd goal in it, whereas at times it has looked like an automatic extra point we need to make up somewhere.2 points
-
I don’t blame Crosby at all. It’s on Flitcroft he hired him & was in charge of the poor recruitment2 points
-
Plant should be playing further up the pitch No way is he a wing back , He's an attacking player who can score goals but is being asked to play in a position LWB Which doesn't suit his game, imo 🤔2 points

its the 30 odd results before that we will be regretting 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 PS - I think we will stay up2 points

CHELTENHAM last three games... Lincoln H Peterborough H Stevenage A NOT an easy three points in that lot for em.......2 points

He was poor that’s why mate. One thing garrity always does is gives 100% & works his socks off. That can’t be an excuse for when he’s on the ball. His passing was terrible at times & why he didn’t shoot when through on goal I don’t know. Passing to Massey was never going to end in a goal 😆 Gazza is wasted in the centre & needs to be further forward for me but we don’t have many options alongside Ojo so can see why he’s played there2 points

Form table over the last 6 paints a very different story tbf. Correct. It's about the next 5 games. My point was that if we are picking up points now and the others can't win many games then at least we are giving ourselves the best chance. I know is stating the obvious but I did say in previous posts that if you keep clean sheets you pick up at least a point.2 points
-
People saying he had a 'poor' game yesterday are oblivious to what he's actually doing in that role. He has to work his butt off relentlessly in there. Its a trade off. Higher up for a goal threat or where he is to bolster and strengthen midfield and defence?2 points
-
Since 1st January we played 14 games with Flitcroft in the building, got four points and kept one clean sheet. Since he left we have play four games, got seven points and kept three clean sheets. Is this a coincidence?2 points
-
Think I’m heartened by the fact that Moore has taken a team really poorly defensively and made them into quite a resolute unit.2 points

13th in the form table over the last 6 games, Cheltenham 21st,Burton bottom and we are keeping clean sheets now as well2 points
