At the end of the game THEY were wasting time as they knew Vale were pressing.

Sweet Jesus, why do you and half the moaners on here, bother.
This is our FIRST season back inEFL1 and we've survived. That's all we need to do.
But all you can do is slash the team off

Survived?

9 points is nothing in this league.

We're being drawn into the relegation battle.

7 defeats in 8 is it?

So we have played well recently? Because from what I have read on here we have a league 2 squad with a league 2 manager and we have been found out and we are a club in crisis again. So its not all that bad then?

Don't forget - when we were in 10th - that we had a bottom-6 team?

That’s our best performance for a long time.Key takeaways

Ellis is back.Looked like himself.

Fair play to Donnelly. After looking like a kid playing against men he’s really come back strong over the past few games.

Big call to bring Butterworth on rather than Conlon. Seems to be the end of his time here.

We look a good team when playing sides who don’t just sit in and leave gaps.

What a difference a good GK makes. Trafford is the best I’ve seen in this league.

That was an advert for us to bring forward the pitch replacement. Good pitch and we play so much better playing entertaining football.

Will Forrester MOTM. Very very good again.

Overall a to like about our performance but also highlights how much better we need to be to make the jump from mid table to top7 team. Better players needed in most areas of the pitch to bridge the gap.

Maybe in your head - it's 5 in 8. Vale fan amnesia at its best.

Given that before this run we were only about 11-12 points above the relegation zone it seems that 9 points is actually quite a lot

Play those 2 x back to back away games another 10 times & 9 times from 10 we are bringing 4 points home minimum.

Didn't think we were great at Morecambe, but should've taken atleast a point.

Dominated today at Bolton for 80% of the game. I'd have been disappointed with a draw based on the performance, so to lose is a real sickener. Absolute rob job from Bolton today, they won't believe they've won that game.

If we play like that between now & end of the season we will cruise past 50 points.

Losing has become a habit. We really need a couple of back to back wins, not just performances.

Tough luck guys you were so much better than I expected today and to be fair at least deserved a point but keep playing like that and you’ve absolutely no fears of going down. To be fair we were poor but I suppose that’s probably to be expected after the euphoria of Wednesday night and reaching Wembley? At least we didn’t get tonked like Plymouth did today at Posh which probably was also the effect of their win on Tuesday? We certainly needed those points today and there were times I thought we might not get them but good luck for the rest of the season and I really don’t think you need to worry because no way are those below you as good as you are on todays evidence.

Nice to get more appreciation from an opposition fan than some of our regulars!

Looking at our remaining home fixtures, our future is in our own hands. Win 2 or 3 we are safe, lose and we can only say we are not good enough. There are 8 teams below us, on their current  form I don’t see 5 of them overtaking us.

KTF and be positive
