Think Burton will be without Stockton still as apparently re-aggravated his injury. Be surprised if they don’t set up similar to how Northampton did with a low block and try to get a point. Nothing wrong with doing that, we just need to be patient and find a way to get past it as we did yesterday.

Is a low block a term invented by coaches to describe a team which in the olden days simply sat deep?

Be nice read one of ends nearly sold out .

Come on if a season ticket holder if m8 cannot afford buy him a ticket .

Pack the park .

You know you want too I'm hoping as away when watch on ifollow tues every end  rammed with noisy excitable folk

UTV

Port Vale 2 Burton 3 last season

What more motivation is needed to avenge that  defeat .

The way we play we could do with a early goal and drag them out .

Up and at them Vale .

Wilson to score twice

Hopefully fans will be a bit more more up for this one.  Great support first 20 minutes on Saturday then we, like the game itself at that point, just petered out, until the late goal.

Hardly heard a peep from the Hamil yesterday.

Our biggest problem on Tuesday could well be complacency. Burton have made a poor start but I read the report of their match on Saturday, and the stats, and it looked as if they made a real game of it against Barnsley who made the most of the few chances they had. So chance creation and then putting them away is going to be key. So for me Gazza and Chizzie have to start behind Willo who looks to be getting back to something like his best form.

For sure, we will have to stay patient and grind out another win in front of a packed defence - unless we can get an early goal.

Happy with three points though, however we do it.

There's a lot of factors in what makes a good atmosphere, and very, very few clubs' fans are at it all game.

Considering how poor it's been on occasions, I'd say 20 minutes good noise while 0-0 is a good start. Let's build on that and applaud the ones who gave it a go.

Vale haven't beat Burton at home in the league since a 7 1 home win in April 2013. Since then we had that embarrassing 4 nil home loss to them and that shocking performance losing 3 2 at home to them last season. We did beat them 1 nil at home in the papa John's trophy at home but have also lost to them at home in the league cup also.

I know we’ve never thought of it as one but are Burton billing this as a local derby again?  Got the impression their manager over played this last season as a means of motivation - and it worked (they got the result) but we’re a much different team (personnel and attitude) this time around so can’t see it working this time too.
