You ve a good memory.... wasn't there a blocky graphic of an ambulance driving on when a player was injured?

Not sure it would amuse any of the younger iPhone generation though !

That was the newer scoreboard. I’m pretty sure the graphics were ripped off Horace Goes Skiing on the Spectrum.

Great news, a real step forward.

Not sure about the placement though - looks a bit ropey just plonked in front of the seats on the old Family Stand, wouldn't it be better in the opposite corner between Lorne Street and the Hamil? Nothing there at the moment. Or at least have the family stand decommissioned and the seats taken out. Or maybe they are as well?

Location in the Old Family stand gives the better view from the Home End and Lorne St .

Would be difficult for the boxes to see it went down in the Lorne corner and if it’s got advertising on it’ll need to be seen on the tv highlights too.

Where you suggest has a floodlight pylon in the way, less space, some of which is used for storage, plus the Family Stand location allows the best view for the majority of home supporters.

A simple solution to the seats is to get another cover, similar to the Staffordshire Uni one that used to be there. It's a chance to get some advertising revenue in as there will be a lot of eyes trained to that corner so whoever sponsors it will get a lot of exposure.

The area between Hamil and Lorne Street is reserved for the

Smurthwaite Hotel 😆

Really good news well done carol and donno  especially with the rumours carol had run out of money  let’s hope she can attract more investment and she’s still in charge in 5 years time

I don’t think Carol is actually spending money on this, it is presented as a favour from this Donaldson bloke. However with this and the “business breakfast” announcement it does show more is being done to reach out to local businesses for potential investment. No modern successful club simply relies on the coffers of one person. You need a portfolio.

Is this going to see an end to the short silence between scoring and the Hamil realising !

Or perhaps when the ball is at the Bycars end all eyes in the Hamil turn to watch the match on the tele?

When they take the old scoreboard down, they'll be able to see the whole of the game in the Hamil end.
