This topic is really bringing back some great memories of installing, operating and programming the original scoreboard. I have some great memories and stories from this role and meet some football icons in the process. It would be nice to get a look at the workings of the new screen if the club could arrange it for me.

I can assure you they were definitely “potatoes”…..when observed from the Bycars…..after 4 or 5 pre match pints….🙄👍🏻

We need some footage.  Sadly it was all before people had mobile phones to record all the random stuff we see these days.

I'd like to see half time highlights of some classic games from days gone by.

And any footage of the blue three wheeler doing a lap of honour with 15 minutes to go. Happy memories.

The first time we used and commissioned the original scoreboard was for a pre-season game versus Stoke which I think we won 1-0 with a Paul Atkinson goal.

I can remember getting my knuckles rapped on many occasions for flashing up the Stoke score when then were losing!

Just remembered there were Kalamazoo, Tunstall Assurance and Oasis Travel adverts too.

Oasis travel advert was, on every corner, dont get stuck in a corner get away with oasis travel.
