Quite the redemption for Theo. Could have come out with two fingers to the fans, but a very nice sentiment. Fair play to him after a nightmare season.

Just seen this. Going post it on the Smallsall forum I am. Wind up some dodgy accented nitwits.

Christ won 4 on the bounce and the moaning goes on and on and on and on still it gives the players a rest.

Keep playing the strongest side for the rest of the season. Manny needs to prove fitness, goals for the front players will breed confidence and push for a top half finish which would be a great bonus.

I am concerned that we will bring Dutton on board when he’s let go by Walsall, if we can’t convince Crosby to stay.

We need people to deliver pies to people's seats with Carols new initiative for when we get back in the ground .

Brian can do that no problems.

DC is a prickly interviewee! Doesn’t like to comment on future tactics, injury status or strategies on coming fixtures. He does try to boss the interviewers and it can seem like he tries to dominate the questions.

He has a bit of an edge, I quite like this but would hope he trims his rudeness!

What was said?

Bowers asked a generic, innocuous question about if he was thinking of rotating a few players with Monday coming up so soon and he sort of snapped at him with a "why don't you pick the team" blunt response. Yes I know the media can get frustrating but just play the game.  It was a bit nasty, no need. Particular after 4 wins in a row. Blakeman was surprised by it when they cut back to the studio.

I like what he's doing but the Smallsall fans may have made a reasonably accurate assessment that he's a bit of a hostile twát. Even king shlthouse Micky Adams wasn't so bellicose.

He can tell them to go <ovf censored> themselves if he keeps winning

Bit of a dodgy end to that Clarke interview just. No need.

Spot on. It was a pretty simple question that Phil has every right to ask. Came across like a right tool.

Nothing absolutly nothing,

Ask daft questions get daft answers.

That's not the point. The problem is does he also naturally act so aggressively behind the scenes with club staff. Slippery slope.

I think he came in with a very tense answering style, but he suddenly mellowed and started saying “hi, how are you, top man” in a really forced way, like he has been told to curb it a little.

Agree.  For me he was having a bit of ‘banter’.  He has said from the off he won’t discuss team choice ahead of games or injuries, so he was just tickling Bowels ribs a bit for me

Phil asked him about the team for Harrogate and he just made a quip about Phil picking the team.

Don't think that there was much in it as he seems to make those sort of comments regularly in pre/post match interviews.  I suspect that if the interviewers spend a lot of time with him then they will get that.

If nothing else I think that he's made it clear that he won't be drawn on those kinds of issues ahead of releasing the team sheet.

He comes across as he hates clichéd answers and journos annoy him.

Only the other day I think it was Phil Bowers who he told he'd have to rotate over Easter.

He's going to be a Marmite manager and how it goes all depends on results.

Exactly.  Storm in a teacup stuff.

Can’t moan about performance or result, so let’s moan about a flippant response to a question he has on numerous occasions said he won’t answer!
