Phew. Really bad second half that though. Robinson ain’t the answer up top. Missing sitters again. Take the win though all be it against a really poor side.

I had that view earlier on but Robinson seems to be slotting in creating chances and getting in the right positions. Hopefully the finishing will follow.

Most players are this level have a similar ability when it comes to finishing, which in my view is an overrated attribute and only really stands out at the level of elite level footballers, where chances are much harder to craft and you have a lot less time to take them.

What is more important is their ability to understand space and get themselves into good goalscoring opportunities.

Robinson did that today and was very unlucky with the one that hit the post. I don't think he's the 18 goals plus man we've been after, but the best all round player of the 4.

Agree.  Thought he led the line well and was bringing others into the play.  Missed chances - another week will score chances.  That’s football, especially in the lower leagues.

only 3 points off Automatic places

Good result today, they made the changes they needed to at half time as Amoo in particular was having a field day.

Tighter 2nd half but our performances are improving, we are creating more chances... like last season I’m hoping we can continue to get better and better through the year.

A much needed 3 points today, it will keep some of the moaners on here quite for a bit!

The first half was excellent. We could have had three or four in the first 20. Credit to Amoo, he was absolutely superb. It just shows how much we’ve missed his outlet down the right. The team performance in the first 45, is one of the best I’ve seen for a long, long time.

I was relatively pleased with the second half, it was obviously not as good as the first, but we still looked pretty solid and never really looked like conceding a second. The only danger was from their corners, but we defended well as a whole against them.

As a whole, it was the most pleasing 90 minutes so far this season. We fully deserved the 3 points after that special first 45 mins.

Where are all the David Worrall bashers today???? He was excellent today. The criticism he has received this season has been questionable. He once again showed his class.

Disagree with the criticism of Robinson, he played well yet again today. He linked the play well, held the ball up and worked his socks off. He was unfortunate not to get on the score sheet.

I can’t fault anyway today, they all played well. Burgess looked good. Mitch is very, very good. Joyce and Conlon ran the show. The MOM though has to Smithy. Great header and an even better defensive showing.

Today was more like the Vale we expect and want to see. Credit to Askey, he got his tactics and substitutions spot on.
