Absolute garbage performance against terrible opposition. I'm not surprised nobody stayed for the players lap of honour at the end. Big changes needed next season, angry that I've wasted more money today watching that shower.

At least if looking towards next season Askey can see that most of the out of contract players do not deserve a new one.

Silly decision to replace Worrall who was the only forward putting in any effort with headless chicken Elliott.

Montano should have been replaced at half time.

Crookes had a mare and if we had another left back in the squad should have been put out of his misery.

Usual tactics at home play one up front and Pope marked out of it by two defenders.

Even when we conceded no effort to try to win the game so keep passing it back and sideways.

Yet again worked out well with our static No9 leading the attack! Arthur had a real stroke of fortune when he was injured. Better result Monday with that competition winner Elliott up top.

 

Pope now impact sub at best - maybe Smurfs last laugh lumbering us with him for another 2 seasons!

We’ve just lost to the worst opposition I think I’ve ever see us play. Only Brown, Conlon and Worrall plus Pope as a reserve striker warranted being around next year. The rest can go. Askey’s RS interview does, in a strange way, give me hope.

A bit concerning to hear Phil Sproson talking about whoever is in charge next season, saying "whether that be Norman, if he decides to stay on & give it another go, or whether it is Carol" - if there's even the slightest chance of that fat arrogant tvvat "staying on & giving it another go" then the club really is f00ked & might as well fold now!

I’m so ******* angry with all the players “we have to win for the home fans”, “we need to send the fans home with a smile for next season” and all their other disgusting crap!

If they want to send the fans home, they’d need to wake them up first and the only reason anyone would smile, is because they know they now get a 3 month break from this shambolic ****!

I actually get so so so so sad, watching my team perform like this!

Don’t give a **** about Macclesfield having everything to play for. The very very very least you can do as a player, especially playing at home, is show you have some passion and some care.

Went, but typical end of the season & didn't expect anything else,

if some of these players don't have a certain future or may have an offer for next year from another club they wouldn't want to risk injury or something that could affect their livelihood when their contract runs out-

 

no one knows who the manager will be what the squad will be, the current and perspective owners should be engaging in a hand over for continuity but we all know the dictator would want to shaft us as much as possible and any news cant come soon enough.

 

Stayed behind as this season could have been far worse than this match(nothing to cheer I know) , thanks for the assistant who was apologising personally individually to the few that were left, spoke with a player hasn't heard anything about next year but wants to stay but not a jot from anyone above,thanked scott brown told cant believe he is in this division.

 

A lot of uncertainty and bigger concerns than this match hope the dictator clears his desk asap as eitherway next year will be tough

Clearly Miller must leave which is sad in a way but he must be in the 'professional' or lack of group.

Pope is a second half sub, Brown only is a must. Some have contracts, fair enough, the rest can seek work elsewhere

That game had 0 1 written all over it from the moment we were mathematically safe.

I'm very pleased to see Yeovil down. I don't care which one joins them. Hopefully Creepy will go down next season. Hopefully NS will be history soon and we can look forwards to a new, more successful era.

Awful end to an Awful season yet again.

They were a pub side, as someone has said earlier on, but we lost to them so what does that make us?

One of the worst Vale displays I can remember even under all the crap managers we've had

Hope the takeover is completed and sensible leadership of the club restored. If that happens then keep the manager next. If we keep these players we will get the same outcome or worse. Therefore we need a big release of players, good signings with a small squad backed by bring young players through.

 

It will be a tougher league next season given the teams coming down and the return of Orient from the NL.

Only ones who came out of that game with any positive comments were brown and conlon. All of the others were absolutely garbage.
