Looking at that it seems we're pretty well balanced with my only major concern being a lack of cover for Monty at left back, there's only really Pugh and he's out of position there. Probably being a bit picky though!

I agree with other posters that we do need a body at left back to cover for Monty, as he is going to get injured at some point, and I really don't want Pugh playing there. Once we get that, and possibly a cover for CM, I think we're there, and can supplement with loans as and when required

I always understood it as a central midfield player who can defend and attack; a bit of an all rounder which is what he’s been described as.

Great news that Steve Guppy is spending a little time working with our wingers - that can't hurt??

Kjell not signing, staying in Holland for personal reasons (his mum is ill).

 

Shame we won't get to see him make a comeback but would like to extend good wishes to Kjell. Was at the club at a turbulent time but acquitted himself professionally and admirably. His injury issues have been well-documented but his perseverance and gratitude to the club is rarely seen in the modern game. He seemingly bought into the club and for me thats more than enough for him to be remembered fondly.

 

Wish him the best of luck in career and would happily buy him a pint if he ever finds himself in Burslem.

He was here towards the back end of last season working with the wingers and fullbacks too.

Kanu is a striker first and foremost. Would be like playing Marcus Bent on the wing

 

Daniels and Worrall are the only wingers we have but Daniels is an unknown quantity. Feel we need another 1st choice winger with Daniels as backup.
