Really pleased with that, and I think the Daniels signing is a sensible risk given that Aspin will know all about him.

 

Cautious optimism for me, Lawrie Wilson looked a great signing on paper after all.

Joyce and Brown are two cracking signings for a team that were horrendous last season and don't have a pot to **** in. Both will walk into our best possible 11 and improve it.

 

Daniels is a chancer. If it comes off then brilliant, but if it doesn't then there's not much lost. The fact that he can obviously take a set-piece is a big plus point for us right away!

Six months is fair for the Daniels deal, gets a chance to prove he is able to step up and show the right atitude.

 

Low risk move and one worth taking. Already stronger than last season, hopefully these type of signings keep coming.

Aspin is showing good strategy in my opinion. He is signing players who will come with the right commitment to playing for Port Vale and being as good as they can be personally.

Reading the posts, people think to believe that adding 1 experienced CB will clear up a defence, who were literally bleeding goals last season?

I know Nathan played with like 10 different players during the season, but some of the defending was like watching Live at the Apollo... Sometimes funny, sometimes just plain cringing.

 

Is 1 player alone, going to sort that out?

Happy so far. We now need a centre half and striker in the mould of Brown and Joyce. Do that, get rid of the transfer listed four plus Tonge and add another 4-5 players and we have a chance!

A half decent goalkeeper will improve the defence significantly.

I wonder if Legge was the one who refused the terms and then came back after he thought about it,seems to have gone quiet on that front.

 

If he was didn’t Aspin say he had already got someone else “virtually signed” to replace him?
