Well the weather apart from very blustery is ok here so hopefully its ok up there .

Ok im going tell you how it is ,im still titsed with last saturdays showing v Yeovil ,just when u think we have turned the corner with the xmas showings the New years efforts have being somewhat garbage .

Im annoyed i hope the players are as i want see (well hopefully i will see lol as starting drinking at 8a.m as going on train from Stoke station to Manc then out to darwin etc Blackburn etc )a fantastic performance .

So they better raise it .

Hopefully they can put a roof on as all i want hear is fans singing Neil Aspins Black and White Army all game (im in r u ) as them neighbours of ours sung about there new manager all game v Man Utd who fans were abysmal .

When we return on the train back to manc. We can have a sing off with the m.u. mob who will be boarding at burnley. Should be an interesting trip back to manchester.

I think we should see a couple of changes for this game:

Boot

Gibbons - Anderson - Smith - Pugh

Kay - Tonge

Worral - Harness - Whitfield

Pope

or we could go 4-4-2, but I doubt we'd be that adventurous from the outset.

Boot

Gibbons - Anderson - Smith - Pugh

Worral - Kay - Tonge - Whitfield

Wilson or Barnett - Pope

Think you're right about the starting line up but maybe we'll eventually end the game 442 with a midfield of Worrall, Kay, Hannant, and Whitfield with Wilson pairing with Pope up front. In the long run, if all goes well with those two new signings, I wouldn't be surprised if that wasn't Aspo's preferred line up. Anyway, I'm a bit more optimistic now than I was earlier this week.

As ever loving your optimism VFIA, creating an atmosphere at Accy is incredibly difficult with no roof and freezing your taters off.

Mind you starting drinking at 8-00 am i'm sure you'll be in fine voice :drink:

Just seen weather forecast, brollys needed and rainproof coats

I think we'll go with:

4-1-4-1: Boot; Gibbons, Smith, Anderson, Pugh; Kay; Worrall, Whitfield, Hannant, Harness; Pope.

It all depends whether Hannant comes straight into the starting 11 though. Aspin made a strong point that his best position is one side of a midfield three, so I think we'll see that with Kay sitting in and Whitfield and Hannant given licence to go and support Pope.

Davis has done well but I think we need to let Worrall and Gibbons get that partnership back on the right because up until the suspension it was the highlight of our season.

Think the left is a weak area going forward, although Pugh has done really well at left back whilst Harness has come on leaps and bound since Aspin took over. However long term, or going into next season, I think we need a proper left back with a Worrall-like midfielder in front of him.

Overall though I think the squad is looking much better already. Think we'll nick a draw tomorrow: 1-1.

I think that formation is a good possibility.
