i merely quoted a local rag asking why their average attendances had dipped by 2,000 this season

 

The capacity includes the Away section which very rarely sells out. The attendance for the West Brom game I was at was 50,000 but virtually all the empty seats were up in the gods in the away section. On Saturday against Bournemouth the attendance was over 52,000 and very close to capacity because the Bournemouth fans had subsidised travel and tickets and sold out the away section.

 

As I said above, the attendances there are amazing in view of the crap on show.

The fact that the average attendance at SJP this season is close to 50,000 despite the absolute dross that has been served up in the last two seasons in particular is, quite frankly, a ****** miracle!

As the loan of players finished or will he put money in to sign a striker that as not got a club say none contract terms and hope he its the ground running for the last 8/9 games and score 10/15 goals to get us in the playoffs not counted this Saturdays game because it could be to late to bring a player in by the time he gets back

Most fans do.... until the downside outweighs the upside then they start to question.... once they start to question its an easy downward spiral to find something better/more interesting/more enjoyable/cheaper etc.... the reason it causes a problem is that fans put up with the cack for quite a while [V2001] then see some light at the end of the tunnel only for the chairman to blame them for everything and promptly rush out to buy some more tunnel. [in my opinion]
