The more I think of Vale the more I think pick the most attacking side you can

In fact pick no defensive minded players

Go for it so here's a team which I think  can control a game score goals and most Importantly win .

         Ripley

Sang Ojo Jones

Lomax  Walters Grant Shorrock.

          Mighten

     Wilson Debrah .

Ojo has control generally wherever he plays  Sang has immense energy and D Jones can pay the game really well in my opinion i respect others opinion may not agree with that ,if ready if only gives us 45 mins he as the quality get the kind of passing what Shorrock and Lomax can get on too if new polish lad ain't ready he should be but I bet he isn't.

Debrah has played as a forward and it might just work if it doesn't there's Lowe Smith and Icavetti on bench to replace those who do not perform .

I saw enough in that 10 minute cameo v Portsmouth of shorrock to see he as that's something Lomax was generally superb v Barnsley and been a young lad should be up and down like a kid who loves trampolining .

Play to win if we concede 4 I don't care as long as win 5-4

Happened 3 times now:

Chaltenham followed by the Mansfield Win

Stevenage in the Cup follows by Wigan

Barnsley in the league followed by Blackpool

I’d be happy if we could have kept this cycle going (gash-great-gash-great-gash-great) we’d be safe by the end of March and ‘comfortably’ finish mid table.  However, having ‘righted a wrong’ we then get a draw or two or play  ‘a big’ club (where we roll over to get our tummies tickled/expect to lose and do) progressively getting worse until another Cheltenham/Barnsley/Fleetwod performance presses the reset.

Going tomorrow night to see if the social media contrition translates in to a performance.  Going Peterborough next Tuesday too but only because it’s local (40 mins away from work). As is frequently said fandom is an addiction- just not sure at the moment if I m better off going cold turkey.

Baring in mind my limited tactical awareness and the fact that paying my mortgage is not dependent on the outcome here goes:

                   Ripley

  Lowe   Lopata Debrah Grant

            Ojo Sang

 Wilson   Chislett  Mighten

                 Loft

We have to become hard to beat. Defend with the six and let the front three players plus Loft try and create with limited defensive responsibility. We seem to have lost our way tactically and perhaps we need to simplify matters.

Like I said when this formation fails all i need to do Wednesday is walk the dogs.

Hope we get absolutely battered so Crosby is finally <ovf censored> off. I’m sick of him being on the verge of the sack and then somehow pulling a performance out his arse to keep him in a job for another month.

Has he ever been on the verge of the sack???????

I don’t think so.

He’s won 3 out of his last 21, why should he fear the sack???? 🫣

I think Crosby ought to post up in the dressing room the player ratings on OVF from the Fleetwood game. If that doesnt motivate the players  for Tuesdays game then there is no hope under DF/AC.

Loft is currently third highest. Surely has to start v Orient (I'm wearing kevlar and I'm out of range).

Life, death, taxes, playing a back 3, having plenty of pointless possession and no shots on target.

You would like to assume at some point that the penny might drop and we try something different tactically but given that for most of us that moment came about 4 months ago I won’t hold my breath for any of the qualified, professional coaches we employ to spot what has been obvious for so long - this squad can’t play the system they are being asked to play.

Not looking forward to tomorrow night. Its draining on the soul when we play with so little forward threat. Orient are in decent form at the moment so we need the players to ensure they are giving there all. I hope we play a system that gives us some threat up front and something to cheer them on for.

I love it when fans say they hope we get battered tomorrow...

I'll be as optimistic as I can. The players owe us a performance. I really believe that Flitcroft identifies the players and then Crosby has to shoehorn them into the back 3 system/wing backs he insists on.

The players and Crosby need to realise that the only way to pick up points is to not concede goals...it's obvious.

Play Mighten and Chislett behind Wilson(if fit/Loft if Wilson is not fit).

Massey on one side,Shorrock on the other. Ojo and Weir or Sang in the middle.

Debrah,Locata and Smith as 3 hard CBs...kick anything that moves.

Grant needs leaving out,as does Yak.

I feel for Crosby that his best MF(Garrity) is injured...the one time he played up front(Plant) he got injured..and Uche was able to give Wilson the opportunity to partner him...and got injured.

I'm signing a 2 year contract and playing as often as Jones...he is robbing a living...

Onward...
