A small price to pay for a fan, I think we are used to all kinds of different kickoff times these days. If it cuts costs I think genuine supporters will understand, granted there will be the odd disgruntled fan like myself as I had to miss the Newport game due to the rescheduled fixture.

Surprised more clubs don't look at generating renewable energy. Don't really know how robust solar panels are but you'd think most clubs could generate at least some power from mounting them on the roofs of stands. Didn't we used to have a little wind turbine on Lorne Street?

Aside from utility costs, I'd be interested to know if the club is making any steps towards being carbon neutral.

Good idea but must have had efl approval plus wonder if it means supporters can ifollow as its now outside 3pm sacred ground hour

I would imagine the sacred times would move if all clubs go for early KOs to avoid using floodlights, back to the 50s when the hour changes.

I think it’s a good idea IF it saves a significant amount of money for clubs and conditional on the distance between clubs. E.g Only teams maximum 60 mls apart can switch to consider travelling fans.

However I do question the real saving for the club in energy costs. Expecting lost income from away fans not only in the ground but also towns shops and pubs will be hit.Floodlights would still need to be on 2nd half of games starting at 1pm in November. Seems to me like a really selfish move by the EFL rather than finding a proper solution to clubs overspending on wages v income.

With the power of football in this country, who knows they could  cancel the clocks going back!!
