Yes, strength in depth will definitely benefit us, but I think his comments were aimed at his own directors/fans (possibly a veiled parting shot) - bemoaning the fact that a club just promoted from the bottom tier are clearly being supported by their directors far more than his own club and that may be part of their undoing.

Quite possibly true, but burton have been a well run sustainable club for years.  They attracted just over 2000 home fans yesterday so they are bound to have problems somewhere.  You can't continue punching above your weight long term. Similar to us in the rudge years in the championship

Some of the top Prophet of Doom scouts identified Keillor-Dunn as one we've missed out on. emoji6.png

I'm not a big fan of Keillor-Dunn; his general distribution is poor. Felt a little sorry for him yesterday,  shunted out to a wide midfield role. He's not a player who is going to do well out wide. His strength is harassing centrehalves and getting shots away. Not sure there was much more than passing comment when he signed for Burton. Not really surprising as he did play well for Oldham against us. Like most lower league forward players he has strengths and weaknesses. Not sure what position he played prior to today but he has scored 3 goals already. He's quite similar to Garrity in many ways.

Couldn't agree more - food for thought for us then in my opinion.

The only sure way is to increase our weight, and run the club as effective as possible to improve our punching still further for the good spells.

i always look at Plymouth Argyle as something we should aspire to. Every year there average attendance has gone up. If you look at them from say 2012, they had average gates of about 5k, now they are pushing 15k and are at the top of league 1, progress every season

Agree with all of this.

Crosby made a good point in his post match about MK Dons game that only 3 of the starting 11 played in our last game of last season.

When todays line up was announced it just had such a strong core of last seasons team i almost felt nostalgic.

On Harrison i really hope it's going to be another one of those right player right manager scenarios. Arguably that's happened with Wilson and we got him thriving. Really encouraged by Harrison so far. He's had some big transfer fees in the past and still at a good age. Clearly the alure of working with DC again is paying off. Will this happen with Holden too when he gets his fitness back and isn't forced to play out of necessity?

Anyway UTV!

We “rested” too many players v MK, either enforced (most likely) or by choice, and that cost us in my opinion.  With the first choice wingbacks available we looked a far better team irrespective of the opposition.

I’d like to think Holden will do a good job for us but feel it could be a while before we see anything like his best.

Nice to see there was a lot of love for Harry Charsley from the fans stood around us yesterday.  He had an impact when he came on, as did all the subs to be fair.

Watched the game back.
Very solid.
Burton had only a couple of chances in the whole game.
Benning v good again.
Cass looked excellent.
Two excellent goals.
Garrity's shot was top drawer. Leaning back, off balance and still controlled it.
Defensively top drawer in the main.

Agreed, i think 10k would be a good target for us.

The way Ellis scored our second he looked very composed, confident and it was well-taken effort--here's to a few more please.

Lets hope he scores against Ipswich who paid £750k , and Pompey who paid £450k for him.

It’s going to be very interesting when Willo and Harrison play together! Some defences are going to be under some pressure. Two very hard working forwards can’t wait to see!

Good point. Them two I think could link up really well, I reckon the Cheltenham home game we’ll get a glimpse of that. It could be a nightmare for teams to plan against as while both are very hard working they also bring very different skillsets.
