I can only assume we have settled for the player, rather than a target.

Hopefully it’s with a view to next summer. i.e we think the GK market will be better next season and it gives Stone chance to show he can develop and be the No.1

Well I would love to say I’m happy with this signing but I have to confess I haven’t really forgiven Harrison for an incident at the Memorial Stadium about five or six years ago. It was the game we played in which Patterson scored but we lost 2-1 I think. (Sorry for mentioning him). Anyway me and my two young sons were in the section behind the goal that was allocated to away fans, the game was about 15 minutes in when Harrison found himself in a bit of space on the edge of our penalty area, he managed to get a shot off but I have to say his accuracy was way off the mark. His effort rose high above the crossbar a la H McKirdy but the ball hit the guttering that ran along the front of the stand causing it to fall on to me and my two unsuspecting lads. This did provoke one of those cheers from the whole stadium like the cheer the ref gets if he falls over. As you can imagine I was non too pleased. I think I saw Ellis sniggering post incident and for that reason I am struggling to accept him as one of our own.
I know I shouldn’t hold a grudge but lm finding it difficult to forgive him for an incident that should have been followed up by an apology at the very least. I’ve now got to go and explain this to two innocent children.

Harrison may redeem himself should he notch a brace on Saturday and if does I will only cheer the second one. All I can say is it’s a good job we’ve done the ground up as he needs to be kept away from any I’ll fitting rainwater goods.

I bet you were guttered,sorry,gutted Mr D

Jack Stevens on loan.

Little disappointed to be honest. Hoped we'd be in for an experienced keeper on a permanent deal.

Vaclav Hladky, Alex Smithies and Chris Maxwell all available which would be better options for me.

Seems very obvious that we've missed out on so many of our preferred goalkeeper options that we've had to revert to loaning a keeper who is no longer 1st choice from a "rival" in the same division.

Hopefully he'll feel that he has a point to prove to Oxford and will excel. (upon which they'll inevitably have him back!)

We had no chance of signing Smithies. He was linked with several championship clubs. Apparently he's heading to Leicester City as back up according to the daily telegraph

The player has just renewed his contract till 2025 with Oxford and if you bother to have a look he’s been very highly rated. Only 25 and plenty of experience in the league. This presumption that we’ve missed out on preferred targets is rubbish and pure conjecture. The only keeper we possibly thought we were in for was Blackman.
He will provide stiff competition for Stone and if we go off what Oxford fans are saying who have actually seen him play then he seems a very solid addition.

Remember that. Hilarious.  Obviously not for you and family.

Same game where Byron Moore went in a portakabin to do his business much to Vale fans amusement.

I've just watched the YouTube clip of his career goals, which lasted over nine minutes! He's a goal scorer, proven at L1 level, worked with DC before, DC gets the best out of him.

He reminds me in some ways of Rodney and in some ways of Robbie Earle. Let's hope he has an influence at The Vale as good as Earle had and turns out to be far better than Rodney!

UTV!
