Probably twice. Looked okay but I didn’t think wow he looks like a real handful. His you tube reel shows his highlights but a remember his touch not being the best.

I genuinely hope he plays well, and he will be better than playing a couple of midfielders up top. He will at least give an another option as Proctor was very poor against Exeter, probably the worst game I’ve seen him play in a Vale shirt (and I really like Proctor).

Looks like Aston Villa had a bid rejected for Stevens last summer so obviously has something about him. I am not sure a loan deal makes total sense from our perspective unless we've missed out on other targets and are thinking we will try again in Jan/next summer for a permanent number 1 type. I suppose it's low risk for a keeper with 60 games at this level.

Harrison’s last 4 transfers have all involved fees ,some sizeable ones , I suspect the footballing world knows a bit more about the lad

If it is Stevens then that looks good. Over 60 games in League 1, only 25 and was young player of the year at Oxford. Seems to have something about him based on stats and looking at the Oxford forum.

Anyone know Stevens' contract situation?

Seems a bit odd to help and develop another club's keeper in the same league as us? Unless we could sign him at the end of the season.

Their fans say they will never be selling him as he was the number one for a top 8 league one side last season until he was struck by illness which set him back and they just want him playing games

Hopefully if we’re signing it’s Steven’s it’s as our player. Not a loan, don’t want be developing a side in same leagues player. May as well just pushed boat out for Blackman if it’s a loan

I saw Fleetwood v Plymouth last season, Bristol Rovers v Vale and saw a bit of him at home on the first weekend.
