Summer transfer targets/rumours, retained list etc

Dennis has barely played since going to Italy, as in 13 minutes since January, always as a late second half sub.

Oddly enough Cremonese also replaced their manager this summer, despite being promoted! He resigned to stay in Serie B with Parma. The new guy hasn’t managed in Serie A before and as mentioned on here didn’t even name Politic in the squad for a cup game yesterday.

Its like a vicar becoming a madman behind the wheel of a car - bizarre but happens - I really hope for Lucas he can just curb all the madness - as you say, he seems a wonderful bloke off the field.

He's also a very good goalkeeper, too.

I was also thinking about the irony of Harratt's situation at Bradford. Chances are he'd have played 180 minutes in his preferred striker position at the Vale, to date, this season. As opposed to about 20 minutes on the left of midfield at Bradford!

It's ok. He'll get some more minutes in 3 games time...

Cam Dawson didn't progress that well to be fair. Getting splinters in his butt at Sheff wed is not progress.

Being first choice at at Wednesday is progress .

You can’t argue that his career had gone backwards though.  I’d say being second choice at Owls is better than being first choice at say Chesterfield.

My take on what our Exeter friend said was that Blackman would be their nailed on first choice keeper, therefore very much in the shop window, with a clear view to moving back up the ladder in 12 months time, maybe even less.  We don’t know if this is fact, and we don’t know what we offered in comparison.

I don’t know why we would be so against signing someone like Blackman on a one year deal. Not ideal no, but it’s the same as a season long loan essentially and we would have been getting a quality keeper - we would then have the next 12 months to find our keeper for next season / Another year under Stones belt. Looked very decent on Saturday

Totally agree.

I never said that I had. And your point is?

It's just you seem to be pushing the idea that footballers in a league 1 squad will resent a young footballer coming from a premier league team just because they are on more money. Not sure why you think that is the case when you clearly haven't worked in football or even know much about it if you think it is the same as an office environment. A loan player is in a squad for two reasons, to improve the squad and improve themselves while gaining experience on the pitch. In which world is a loan player at a football club the same as a contractor in a normal work place?
