Anyone heard anything solid about this. I do hope this is a pile of <ovf censored> -
Which away game are you looking forward to the most?

The commute is bloody horrible. Until this time last year I lived a few hundred yards from the Mem and on a Saturday it was doable but still a tough ask; mid-week it was an absolute pig. -
Have we got a date...??
-
I'd love to jump in the car and come and have a beer with you and talke ValeShite too

Morning all. As I said on one of the Vale FB pages, the sun comes and the sun goes down - players come and go. I would love to have seen Gibbo stay, but he's gone to Rovers. By the way, I too think Barton is vile, but the Gasheads think he's DC2 - think i'd hate to work under him. When Gibbo comes back I, for one, will not be booing him. That's not right in my book. We made him an offer, it wasn't the offer he wanted and now he's gone. There's no malice in this, its just life. Can't wait to see what other signings we make and, in just over an hour, we get to see the fixture list and get excited. I'm 60 years old and this is absolutely the best I've known it ever at Vale, even better than the Rudge years. What Carol/Kevin and their team have done makes me ache with pride; to think - just a few short years ago, we were being run by the Fat Controller and nearly taken out of the existence/the football league. Onwards and Upwards; for me I believe we'll finish in the upper half of the league next season. We have a great core and just a few players to add to it - 3 or 4 tops. When Conlon and Walker come back we'll be even stronger. Last year no one enjoyed coming to Vale Park - we play nice football - we scared teams last season and we'll do it again next season. Good luck Gibbo - thanks for all the memories. Next... UTV, KTF and TTP -

That might go over some people's heads m8; not mine though. Long time again but remember going when I was a wee lad. -

Love that interview with Flitters; makes you proud to be Vale. As others have said, we're a completely different outfit to the sh!te thats gone before. If i'm honest, I love reading this thread (and had one or two giggles along the way) but I really dont care who we sign and how or when. I trust that Flitters and DC will get it right. One of the interesting things from the interview was the Flitcroft says we're now making presentations to Premiership teams for loan players. Love that, gives us a bigger and far better pool of players to fish in. Bring on the new season; going to ask Ladbrokes for a price on finishing in the top 10 and stick a oner on it. UTV and KTF -
I remember Southall when we played at Bury (Im ex-goalkeepers union) and he made a save where he dived the full length of the posts and stopped a shot that was bang on for the back of the net. He was utterly brilliant

Massive thank you to Amoo. Been a great servant and I wish him well for wherever he goes.

Really pleased to read the retained list; if we can get Benning, Gibbo and Proc re-signed then it gives a great platform to enter EFL1. Yes, we could do with three or four more to give us a solid squad - but if we can keep injury free I can see us doing well with a bunch of blokes who know each other well already and have gelled as a team. Cant wait for the start of next season and dead excited for the fixture list on 23rd June 👍 -
Hoppers - sorry didn't see this yesterday m8. Would have been happy for you to sign it m8. What a great day yesterday was. Will go down in Vale history

Just on the train on the way back to Bristol. The Mrs is meeting me at the station and I'm going to neck steak and chips and red wine; maybe a cold beer too. WHAT A DAY! perfect performance Vale. Beautiful. This is what life is made of; these are the days to cherish. Love it UTV and KTF Valiants; sleep well. Just wish Tony Bolt could have lived long enough to have been there today. I'm sure he's singing his head off in heaven and getting chucked out of some of their bars for doing too OTT 😂

Morning all Beautiful day here in North Somerset. Anyone got anything nice planned for the day...?? 😂😂 Just turned my phone on to find GWR have cancelled my train. Brilliant! Mrs is about to drive me in to Bristol so I can get a direct train to Paddington. Safe travel fellow Valiants. SVA and KTF

What time are the North London Valiants meeting there...?? I'm catching the 8:45 from North Somerset that gets me in to Paddington at 10:36; I could be in Euston around 11-11:15 me thinks. Was great to bump in to some of them at Swindle a week or so ago
-
Good luck tonight fellow Valiants. I managed to get to the Swindle match on Sunday and so wanted to be there tonight - sadly can get a train to Stoke but wouldn't be able to get home. Still on crutches so can't drive or i'd be there in a heartbeat. Safe journey to everyone travelling to VP from afar. Huge respect. I'm confident we'll beat these tonight. Stuck another tenner on with Ladbrokes. UTV and KTF

And Man City, Man Utd, Liverpool, Everton and all the teams in and around Birmingham, too. Well said m8

If it wasn't you m8 then I apologise. But the negativity on here does my head on. WE are in the same position as Northampton - we both got beaten 2-1 by the better team on the day. We now have home advantage on Thursday and we absolutely can take them at Vale Park. One other thing: while we had a great following today we barely broke in to song a handful of times, while they made a terrific noise. On Thursday we absolutely must sing the roof off from minute one till then final whistle and really, really get behind the lads. WE could be the 13th man. Think Carol deserves that
-
Jesus Chris - you watched a different match than me m8. There is no way I'd call that performance pathetic. Swindon are a good side and in the play offs because they deserve to be. On the day they just edged it. I'm confident we'll best then at Vale Park. If you don't want to support DC and the lads then there's a place down the D-road that will welcome you, I'm sure. Good lord

Jesus there's a lot of people losing their <ovf censored> on here again. Yes, we lost 2-1, but general feeling I heard at the game was that we didn't think they were that good and, as someone has already posted, the stats were dead equal. We are well and truly still in this and I can't wait for Thursday night. These are there for the taking. UTV and KTF
