Synectics to bid again NOW EXCLUSIVE

Some good news hopefully, I just hope common sense will prevail from all this.

My only worry is do Synetics have the finances in place to move the club in the right direction in the long run(i.e. some better seasons and all being well promotion from this league and to stabilise in League One(third tier) because I think all things being equal that is where Vale should be size of club and fanbase wise).

I'd hate for us to have another V2001 situation 3 or 4 years down the track. The Shanahan's being fans of the club have got to be careful as we have been burnt(even scolded) by a fan run club previously.

Although that perhaps came the 'Animal Farm' scenario that Bratt and Co created between themselves and the rest of the fanbase.

I wish them the best of luck though as we certainly can't carry on with the current situation/status quo as another season or 2 and we will fall out of the league for certain imo!

I'm sure the Shanahans are only too aware of what happened with V2001 and will be looking not to make the same mistakes.

The club is, by most accounts, pretty self sustainable given all of the extra income that would actually be put back into the club from food kiosks, merchandise, offices and other events/weddings etc..

Besides, with the blue one gone, I would expect that Carol/Kevin can drum up more support from local businesses with sponsorship deals etc.. as they must have a lot of links to local businesses.

Plus, not to mention the feel good factor will come back meaning more season ticket sales and more match day ticket sales.

People will be wanting to invest as well, where they wouldn't under Gorm

Does anyone know when the EFL meet, to discuss the fit and proper persons procedure, I know they meet on the 24th of April to discuss the Coventry City situation, I'm wondering if the Vale takeover will be the same day, if so it is getting quite close to the 5th May deadline.

Assume it would just be done internally rather than a meeting required? Check proof of financing etc. Should in theory be straightforward and assume Vale will push them on it.

In terms of the news it’s very positive and shows hopefully some light after a horrible few weeks off the field. Hopefully now we can get a win quickly to ensure our EFL status, get this done swiftly and look to sort Askey and contracts out and go into the summer feeling positive.

Felt after the P&G call that Norman seemed to sound fed up and maybe almost asking for bids by the administration threat and rant. Hopefully common sense has now prevailed and we can part ways amicabley and all get on with our lives. Carol and Kevin seem the right people for the club.

Going forward if no hiccups I feel they will look to keep us sustainable and foresee steady progress in turning things around for the club on the field and that’s all we really want isn’t it?

Hopefully next season we start with new owners, start on 0 points and have a squad that can challenge the right end with Askey at the helm.

I think the aim is get the club to be reasonably self sustaining. Fans can’t expect large amounts of cash to be splashed. A steady rebuilding is neede. Looking at some of the accounts being published you may as well do a KLF and burn your money

Let's hope that this time, sense will prevail and he will negotiate in good faith!

Lets hope Colin Garlick has talked some sense into Gorman. Good luck to everyone involved in thrashing out a deal and getting Vale Park into new owners. Great news that its got this far.

Presumably all the matchday parking money from Synetics car park would go into the clubs coffers, an amount not to be sniffed at.

I understood it already did in a roundabout way by helping people attend who weren't in a position to attend, community projects with the vale foundation etc
