If you were interviewed on the radio, would you slag your boss of, no matter how justified it was? Unless you wanted to get fired, I guess the answer is no.

 

I know he's lying about Legge, you know it, we all know it. But it's been one lie after the other on that matter.

 

However, I do agree that these interviews are absolutely pointless. As they would be at any club in the country.

Because we all know the club is in dire straits and Norman is an absolute **** to work with. But nobody at the club will say it openly, as he pays their wages. In that way, footballers are no different to anyone of us. They have families and need steady income.

 

So all in all, a pretty uninteresting listen.

personally i wouldn’t play him on the side of a 3 i’d play him central and with his organisation and communication lead the back line.

 

Yes if he can’t play Legge an unfit Howkins is far better than a dire Rawlinson.

He doesn’t need to be fully fit to play as a centre back and how does he get match fit if he isn’t playing matches.Askey is just Aspin Mk 2 blaming the previous Manager for signing players he has inherited.

Having only just heard Mr Askey's comment regarding why he is not playing Leon Legge, I can only come to the conclusion that it hasn't taken him long to lose the plot,either that or fall into the habit of filling Smurfs fantasies.

We all know why legge isn't playing it's down to money and there's only one person to blame for that

I understand , but do not accept that Askey has to say what he did about Legge, since Gorm would have warned him when he took the short term contract as to who's boss and running the show!

 

What I agree with others is that Askey appears to have no spine(personally or in our Team!)and from the little I've seen of him he promotes no confidence , long term as manager of Vale. Whatever may happen now I am of the opinion that we will need a proper , experienced , capable manager next season, no matter who is Owner or where we are playing.
