Said it for weeks, he came back into the side against Yeovil... we won that and have won once since! Coincidence? Midfield is too slow and when a ball comes into the box and gets say half cleared we have no one on the edge of the box to pick it up.

kay is there to provide strength, physicality and to win the ball, IMHO he played OK tonight whereas Hannant and Colon were absolutely dire. I wouls anticipate Conlon is one hell of a 5-a-side player and often slow to release the ball, he passes and stops rather than move, cost us big time tonight.

I'm no Kay fan and was very unhappy when Baldrick signed him on a 2year deal but right now he's the only reliable midfield player we have who is not afraid to want the ball and try to play a pass.

Hannant is far worse, and so is Joyce and conlon.

 

That's probably why he plays.

Kay is not the answer and never has been, but at least he shows for the ball and is willing to try and affect the game. Joyce, Conlon and Hannant all offer nothing and I often forget that they’re even playing.

 

Surely the two midfielders signed on loan can not be any worse than this current crop on show?
