REP , you don’t have to be right all the time. That ball did run out of play before he crossed it , but you didn’t have a good angle . That’s ok, as nothing came of it. With the good chances they’ve been getting , as many as 4 a game in the last two, I’d like to think that Vale could win 3-1 tonight. Stranger things have happened, James. As for Smurthwaite, hell isn’t full yet. Enjoy the match , as they say in the programme notes.

As long as we know, that the only reason Conlon starts and Edser is on the bench, is because Joyce is injured.

And as soon as he is fit again, we will be back to square one!

Howkins hasn’t played much football at all in ten months, it’s no surprise that the centre halves in front of him are the ones that have been playing all season.

Well at least Joyce is out but how Rawlinson gets ahead of Leon, let alone Howkins, I'll never know. We need to keep a clean sheet because if we concede getting two will be nigh impossible - think we've only managed it three times this season, including Cambridge and Cheltenham who have poor defensive records. Fingers crossed. Going to do some ironing now, don't think I can bear to follow it!
