If we lose tonight then the fat lady will be clearing her throat, we wont beat Crewe or Macc we wont beat an improving Notts County on Saturday we never beat Swindon and we wont beat Bury.

 

I know its all if's and buts, but there is zero goals in the side and obviously thats what wins matches,we need at the very least 5 wins and we have only won 8 all season,I hope and pray someone comes back and rubs my nose in this post at the end of the season.

So do we think Miller will replace Harris tonight? surely he will have to change the team,i worry about Rawlinson trying to contain Norwood(I reckon Howkins would buuly him but depends on fitness),like to see him play one of the young lads/manny in the middle and maybe whitfield for Hannant.

 

Despite losing I do think we are more attacking under Askey and are creating chances,we just have to hope we can start putting them away,thats the concern for me

Norwood is not known for his guile that's for sure, but clearly the lad is in good form and logic suggests it's another reason to play Legge, but clearly with this absurd caveat in his contract that's not going to happen, but please if not Legge bring in Howkins as Rawlinson is another (among many) whose early season form appears to have deserted him.

 

As for Miller, though I would like to see him start, can't see it, another who will sit on the bench, and if we don't make many (or any) changes as I fear may happen, then look at the bench, christ it's stronger than the eleven starters!

In an ideal world I'd take Rawlinson and Clark out and play a back four of Gibbons Legge Smith and Crookes. Whether Askey is allowed to play Legge or not any more, I don't know.

 

I don't know what I'd do elsewhere on the pitch but we desperately need to shuffle the pack and find something that works. Hannant always works hard but he's out of form. Maybe Conlon should come back in.

My Tranmere mate just text me and said he fancies 0-0 at 7/1. I told him to go check the odds for 7-1 as it was more likely. He says if James Norwood doesnt score then no one will for them, dont worry he will. Hope it will be me texting him tonight but not banking on it.

I think Miller will be back.

Oyeleke has to play if he's fit.

And we need a bit of pace and threat in the final third so Monty and/or Whitfield.

 

We can all argue about the defence but the real test for us is in creating and taking our few chances.

Second half we did nothing because we didn't have the pace and guile to get behind their back four.

I totally expect the same starting 11. Askey has no balls and it will just be more of the same for the rest of the season.

 

Because we all know that's the way to solve things that aren't working; keep doing the same and hope for change.

Askey has spoken out on the Legge issue, he won’t confirm any contract details but does confirm no clause would ever stop him picking a player. So yes Askey is that daft 🙄

No I have consistently said the owners major failing is his appointment if inexperienced managers at this level. Askey is just proving himself to be what I and others thought, his team selections despite previously watching us are bordering on suicidal, surely he can’t carry on tonight, especially with Kay et al.
