I understand what you're saying, Matt, but Mo Chaudary tried to do his negotiating through the media and that turned out well! One thing I do know for certain, the Shanahans will not allow themselves to be screwed over by Norman. I'm happy for them to play their cards close to their chest for the time being.

ummm...this might sound stupid...and possibly is, but I'm really not sure of the law in this respect - if he's made all these public promises to back Aspin and get us back into Lge 1 - has he entered into a verbal contract? And, if so, could he be sued if he reneges on these?

 

There is one question i would love Smurf to answer, two actually.

 

He spoke plenty last night of how good our budget was this year, how good it is compared to most div 2 teams, how Accrington has a budget half of ours and so on.

He spoke how well Aspin has done by signing Hannant and i bet he expects him to follow that with a further 10 ' Hannant's '

He spoke how Aspin is most definately the right man.

 

Next season he will give Aspin a budget we can afford but will still be a good league two budget. Assuming Aspin doesnt tell him to do one, what will Smurf do IF we are at the bottom of the league by end October time.

Will he :

 

Sack Aspin and say Aspin has failed

OR

Admit the he himself has failed AGAIN and realise he has to sell up and move on. This would be the 3rd failed appointment of his.

OR

Blame the fans yet again

The issue is Malc he’s not going to do that. You folks are on one hand are calling him a liar and talking twaddle then on the other hand expecting him to follow perfect business practices. Norman doesn’t have to prove anything at all to anyone because he holds all the cards.

 

The only way to negotiate with an egomaniac like Norman is to let him talk then prove the opposite in public. He’s already publicly stated Carol Shanahan is the right person to own PVFC, so she needs to be in the papers saying she interested and wants Norman to name his price for the club publicly so that she can put a bid together under the guise of this being a open and transparent process for the fans. That’s one of his cards gone

 

Once he names his price or refuses to then another is gone as he’s publicly refused to state a price

 

Or he does and it’s a stupid price the the media and fans can hammer him so that card is gone

 

Eventually he’s left with no where to turn other than to sell the club or to refuse too, again the media and fans will have a field day with him if he refuses to.

The problem is Synectics play by the rules but Kim Jong Smurthwaite doesn’t.He uses smoke and mirrors to make us the supporters to blame because we don’t attend regularly.

Obviously he is deaf as well as daft if he didn’t hear the chants during the Stevenage game.Being a good salesman he informs any interested buyers he is losing 180 k a month which he hopes will scare them off or pay silly money to buy him out.

I still think his long term aim is to put the club into liquidation and then persuade the council to lift the covenant on the land so he can sell and make his money back.

There's something rotten to the core at Vale Park. A succession of commercial staff have come and gone, and we've had practically no ticket offers or promotion of season ticket sales in the last 5 years.

 

Either the departed staff thought it unworthy, or any attempt to do something has been blocked. I know where my guess lies.

I think this is going to be the only probable cause of action (other than a personal non violent targeted campaign, whereby his home and home village are let known what he is (make it personal to him)posters,bill boards etc make life uncomfortable for him at every turn.

 

He doesn't care about the vale or fans merely himself and his wallet & is obviously doing mighty fine out of the club otherwise he would be more active in selling,, alternatively if we go out of existence he also wins as he will just build on the land he is in a win win situation- our only play is too continually embarrass/humiliate him publicly calling out his lies or don't go leaving to admin he will keep the ground but we would be able to get the club back which would have to be re-located how ever far we are down the football pyramid..the only hope with the ground is the cost of demolishing and clearing any contamination is going to outweigh the cost of any profit from buildings.
