The prospectus from the Norwegian group “was being revised because their valuations were too optimistic”.

One of the amends to the prospectus would be the removal of player agent Saide Moussallati who had been responsible for some summer player recruitment. According to Smurthwaite, Moussallati’s poor relationship with then manager Bruno Ribeiro had resulted in the group “walking away” during their first period of exclusivity (although they have now come back with a revised bid).

 

I can't remember if this has already been covered by Doha but wtf has been going on at Vale these past 18 months.

I should be asleep but I've fallen down a rabbit hole of Smurf and Torquay.

 

I cba to type it up all now, and I don't understand most of it, but he posted on the Torquay forum when there was rumours he was sniffing around (under a pseudonym and pretending he was a mate of himself) that if he bought the club he would want to buy the freehold for the land that the ground was on. The council currently own it. Will post links tomorrow.

 

Why is he so obsessed with buying financially crippled football clubs, and then taking ownership of the land the ground is on (he's split the land of Vale Park from the company of Port Vale I believe)? I am getting the feeling that we all bought this 'bumbling fool incomptence' persona when in fact he's rinsing us on the quiet.

probably asset stripping, I have looked through endole its limited but gives a good list of contacts and other mutual companies but will have a nose around tomorrow err today and wouldn't be surprised if they know one another , especially wildes group who seem one of the main branches of a tree which has lots of roots

There was a whisper a few months ago(and it might only have been that) that he was looking at forming a consortium to buy Vale in a couple of years or so but i guess that could be to late IF true

He’s a big Liverpool fan and has had a lot to do with Kidsgrove Athletic. His brother owns a successful barber-shop and is a Vale fan. Interestingly, I believe they are friends with the Manorshop guys too, but I doubt there’s any mileage in a consortium take over.
