The best performance (in front of a relatively big crowd too) I can remember seeing from a Vale side, considering the opposition.

Whitfield could play in the Premiership for Bournemouth and hold his own, he's really that good.

Tom Pope unplayable.

Anthony Kay unbelievable.

The numbers make great reading.

Aspo's League Record:

P14 W8 D2 L4 GF21 GA16 Points 26

Win ratio: 57%

Points per game: 1.857

So, over the remaining 21 games, that would give us another 39 points. Add the 31 we have already and that would give us 70 points, which was enough to get Blackpool into the play offs last season.

So, two questions:

Is the maths right? :sums:

Can we do it?

“Another large slice of Humble Pie over here please waiter. Yes, add some cream to that....”

Well I never saw that coming. Not only did we carry on in exactly the same vein as Coventry, but we actually upped the ante. I have been very critical of the midfield in the past, but Anthony Kay was unbelievable today and Tonge was not far behind. They made it a battle in the midfield and mopped everything up for the excellent trio of Harness, Whitfield and Montano to run at the Luton defence and link up brilliantly with Tom “not fit for the Conference/won’t hit double figures” Pope. Defence was solid and never gave their dangermen a sniff and Boots handling was exceptional, confidently claimed a couple of high balls to ease some pressure. A day when everything clicked and a great end to what has otherwise been a pretty traumatic 2017 for the club.

Slightly nervous for the transfer window, especiallly having just heard Aspin’s comment regarding Gunning, and just hope that we avoid a repeat of last January now we are starting to build a team and show some real promise.

Don't say that about Whitfield or else they will call him back. He is the key to us improving more. The other players are now playing with confidence and just look what they can do.
