Paterson scored 2 or 3 goals so at least gave us something... Wilson offered nothing and is massively disappointing considering on paper he was one of the best signings we made.

Maybe he was a blessing in disguise as eventually it sped up the decison to play Gibbons.

Wilson worse for me. Worse than any for some time. Even some of the foreign lads put effort in. Wilson offered nothing laughed when we were bottom and couldn't care less. Paterson was poor but at least tried.

I must add I am surprised Aspo didn’t give him a chance, especially as Anthony Kay was perhaps even worse until Aspo came along (see Stevenage away and FGR at Home). I just hope we have not had to pay his contract up. After all he had signed for 2 years!

I wouldn’t be surprised if we are paying at least part of the difference between his contracted salary here and what Ebbsfleet will be paying him. I bet their fans think they’ve made a cracking signing, perhaps someone should go on their fanzone and warn them. Right from the start he looked a poor player despite playing in L1. I watched him at Crawley in his first league start and to say he was disappointing would be an understatement - looked totally unfit, disinterested and remarkably out of his depth.

This made me smile (Ebbsfleet are playing today and he is in the starting XI). Seems like his lack of pace doesn't matter too much at that level...
